Sept. 2, 2016 NYGNYY 215 posts | Rocky Mountain I was happy to see the new competition and teams at this past weekends Rocky Mountain tournament. It was fun and the weather was perfect. Thank you to all those that traveled and looking forward toward an even bigger event next year. A couple of housekeeping items for the tournament directors for next year. 1. Water in the dugouts please 2. Additional water on the infields. In the past these infields were the best in the West. Not this year |
Sept. 2, 2016 bond_171513 Men's 55 79 posts | Agreed! Really enjoyed playing in this tourney, hope more teams try and fit this into their schedule next year. The weather was awesome and the fields were mostly great - I echo the need for more water on the infields. The 320' fences make it a true HR, even in the thin air. really enjoyed the break on Friday for the skills contests - that is a nice addition to a tourney. This was the first senior tourney I can remember where water was not provided in the dugouts. Hopefully, that will be addressed for next year. |
Sept. 2, 2016 Jerry820 Men's 60 77 posts | NYGNYY-BOND My team always brings ice chest's to all tournaments. All you have to do is go to Costco or any market and buy the small bottles of water and Gatorade. We always have to 2 ice chest for each one. We do not drink that water from those jugs for various reason. We have been doing this for the last 14 years since playing senior ball. All our guys put in money into our teams funds at the beginning of the year. I dont see very few teams doing this and its a real simple solution to have. We buy about 4 case per tournament and you have fresh water to drink instead coming out from the faucets at those places. It just a suggestion to look into for your teams. Jerry |
Sept. 2, 2016 JBTexas Men's 70 434 posts | I was told no water in the dugout because each dugout at the top of the steps had a water fountain, water was pretty cool on the 4 different fields we played on. You had to ask but the water was available, guess having played there before we knew about fountains. |
