Milwaukee Classic Rain out disaster
Do any of the teams that participated in the Milwaukee Classic this past weekend, feel ripped off? I know there were teams that only played one game, some didn't even play, and my team didn't complete 2 full games. To call the games on Saturday afternoon, I get it because of the down pour. Then we get a call Saturday night saying they will start on Sunday at 9 with a 35 minute, 5 inning, 1 pitch tourney, only to wake up early Sunday morning to bright sunshine, and find out that the tourney has been cancelled!! When I asked what they were going to do about rescheduling the remainder of the tourney or refunding the teams a portion of their entry fee, they said "we will get back to you". We pay a lot of money to travel and play in these tournaments, and to have that kind of attitude is unprofessional.

I have tried to reach out to the director in question, a few times via email and phone, and so far my attempts have been ignored. I certainly hope that the right thing is done and they either reschedule, or refund us our money.

I don't think our team, all in 60's, feel ripped off but believe the director dropped the ball on even thinking after a all day rain on Saturday, and canceling all games, that he would even think that we would want to play a 35 minute, 1 pitch, 5 inning games on sunday! why? just so they can get their entry fee? i'm hoping this idea was not coming from the director..we never got to step on the field, as we can't control the weather, but can and should have a say so on a decision or idea like above scenario just to make $$..just my 2 cents..
