Congratulations to Mac 2
Way to go Mike Cleary and his boys
for prevailing in the heat of Palm Springs
to come back after being drowned by Kellys
in the first game of the championship
to win the tournament.
They showed us all a lot of heart and great.
Congrats again to all of you.

I'm still smarting some from the loss
but I have to tell you that 2 of the finest men
on this planet happen to be regulars in Senior Softball
and are worth shaking hands with or saying hi to
anytime.
They are George Santoro of the Mavericks
and George "Little George" McLoughlin of Mac 2.
Both are both real men, tough as they need to be
with hearts of gold.
The best of us, to be sure.

Way to go Brad, Big George and Artie.

Sorry to you and to one of the aforementioned
Georges but from a combination of too much sun
and getting beat down by Mac 2
but L'il George's name is McGlothen and not
McGloughlin as stated above.

Way to go Mac 'Daddies". We hope to eventually win one this year so we can see you guys back at the T of C. It should be an interesting year seeing who is the top dawg in the major plus division in California. I know our team thinks you guys are the best. Great tournament. Audie Hollis

Joey,
Thanks buddy. I might say that we were dunked not drowned since we were able to get back up and swim to the shore, so to speak. Nice curve ball dude! You got me to swing at that short pitch again and snapped me off with that super glove of yours. It hurt to see you hobbling Joe. Take care of the hammy and get well soon.
Thanks Bruce, Don and Audie. See you all soon.

Hey Georgy,
Congrats to you, again.
Ronnie and I were talking about how you weren't even swinging hard and sending those line drives right over the fence.
You are one of the most naturally powerful long ball hitters we've ever seen
and I've seen a few.

I don't know if dunk or drown is better because drowing would mean you not only came back but you came back from the dead and that's no easy thing to do.
But you're right about the emotion.
I was trying to get a little of my anger/frustration out while complementing you and the guys.
You guys played like Champions that last game on offense and defense and beat us
straight up.
You and Jeff and L'll George and Brad and Artie and the new kid second baseman
with all the tatooes deserve all the credit for playing the game
with heart and toughness and brains to become the National Champions you now are.
Way to go.

Joeeeeey,
Thanks for the compliments Joe. We are having fun with this team so far because it's a great group of guys.
Hey, did you read the pulled leg muscles thread? I'm going to start bringing a jar of pickles to our tourneys now,

Gehall,

Just wondering how many players are from the old 40's Mac team??
Couple friends played with them and they are not 50 yet.

PG33,
I think just Mike and Johnnie right now and maybe Roger U. Ronnie Webb is 50 now and is suppossed to start playing with us soon also. I did not play with the 40's team, so I don't know of anyone else on the current team. I do know there are a lot of MAC 40's guys that will be eligible in the next few years to replace us old farts.
