I Believe!
This past week was a bit difficult for my wife. It was the 10th anniversary of her Father's death. They were always close; my F-I-L was a very good man. This past Friday was the anniversary of his burial.
About 10 a.m. she and I were actually booking rooms for tournaments when the land line rang. 2 very sharp, quick rings occurred and stopped. The rings were not long enough for caller I.D. to make an identification.
So my wife hit star69 which identifies the last number to call. It was her Father's old number which is disconnected! She started crying; my daughter hit star69 again to verify. She confirmed the number!
I assured her that he was just touching base; saying hello and he loved her!

Faith- just a 5 letter word but it carries so much potential. Not to go off on a religious tangent but I too have faith that I will see my lost loved ones again. They say faith can move mountains perhaps it can. Faith is one thing the atheists among us will never understand.

This is not an unusual happening as our departed loved ones and angels have numerous ways to communicate with us.
One is the ringing phone and when you answer nobody is there and there is no traceable number. Another is finding of coins on the floor, on a table, etc in your house. Someone once told me to check the date of the coin you found, it may have a message.
Your loved ones and angels appear to you all the time as a stranger without you knowing it. It may be as a child, as an adult, as a male or a female, it may be as a warm breeze across your face, a smile from a stranger or a greeting from a stranger.
There are angels among us.
Certain messages are relayed to you by a favorite song you haven't heard in many, many years or an old movie you saw on TV that only came to your mind the night before..there are many ways of communicating
The best is prayer..do not play down the power of prayer. It is powerful. I can attest to that and also to angels without either I would not be here today.
I am also not a minister or officer of a church but I do believe and I just wanted to confirm for your wife her father was calling to say,"Hi and I am with you always."

God Bless You

Thanks for this thread! We also are believers. I am a pure duffer golfing-if I break 100 it is a good day. My mother and I used to golf every time I visited her in Florida while she was retired-1 week every year for many years. She was really good-80's. When TIAS slowly incapacitated her-she came to Albuquerque where she finally passed in 2008. A couple months later a customer asked me to golf in a scramble. I said sure. The 5th hole we played was a par 5-510 yard hole. My tee shot came to rest right next to the 179 marker-a 331 yard drive(NM is dry and it rolled a long way downhill, too). Mine was best drive. I grabbed Mom's 7 wood and hit it over the ridge to a blind green. When we got up there we could not find the ball. Then one of the guys looked in the cup-and there it was. A 2-double eagle-Albatross-I had never heard that term. But the guys went nuts. A couple holes later I hit another great drive, a 5 iron to 3 feet and birdied the hole and after another par, got to another par 5 and was 20 feet from the hole in 2,and birdied again. 5-under par for 7 holes. Here is the amazing faith part--the day that happened would have been my mother's 80th Birthday. I used her 7 wood from 179. The 331 yard drive (I did not catch this but one of Mom's friends did) she passed away on March 31-3/31. And recently another friend noticed the 179 yard second shot-she passed at 79. Mom played a few holes with me to let me know she was ok. Yes, without a doubt-we believe!
