JIM SHERMAN NORTHWEST CHAMPIONSHIPS 2018 • DRAFT Game Schedules & Brackets
DRAFT Game Schedules and Brackets for SESSION #1 of the SSUSA's Jim Sherman Memorial Northwest Championships in Salem, OR, have been posted and are available from the links below and on the event's Tournament page ... As always, these DRAFT schedules are TENTATIVE, are subject to change and become final ONLY when released as "OFFICIAL" at the Manager's meeting before play commences ...

NOTE: Managers who do NOT attend the Manager meeting will be presumed to be fully informed on ALL matters (such as schedule changes, tourney formats and rules issues) discussed at the meeting. Tournament rosters are “frozen” as of the Manager’s Meeting. NO on-site player additions are allowed, as all roster changes were previously approved through the Sacramento home office ... Managers who do not attend the Manager Meeting, and do not send a representative, will be prohibited from beginning tournament play before check-in with Field Director.

The Participating Teams List and Master Games & Fields Grid have also been posted ... Good luck to all! ...

SESSION #1 REVISION • The Thursday evening withdrawal by Last Call 65 (NV) resulted in a complete re-draft of the Session #1 schedules and brackets .. Changes are online and carry a revision date of 07/06/2018 ... We apologize for any inconvenince, even though this was completely outside of our control ... Good luck!

DRAFT Game Schedules and Brackets for SESSION #2 of the SSUSA's Jim Sherman Memorial Northwest Championships in Salem, OR, have been posted and are available from the links below and on the event's Tournament page ... The caveats mentioned above for Session #1 apply here as well ...
__________

SESSION NOTE • This session was extremely difficult to construct because of the unprecedented number of "special requests" by teams ... Among them were:

• One team actually made an "early start request"
• Nine of the 34 teams, across multiple divisions, made "later start requests";
• Two teams defined a "later start" as NOT playing on Friday (request denied) even though this has been posted as a 3-day event for over seven months;
• One of those two also asked for the mid-morning Saturday off so they can attend a funeral; and
• One team is sponsoring the "DeMarini Bat Demo" sessions on Saturday and can't be scheduled to play during those time slots ...

We believe we met all known special requests, except the one about not playing Friday ... Please NOTE for next year: [1] The event will be scheduled for a three-day event and ALL teams will be scheduled accordingly; and [2] A later start request will simply result in your team likely not playing in the first (and maybe) the second game of the day on Friday ... Thank you!
