Just finished testing 2 27oz to see which I wanted to keep. Overall they were about equal but I would give the edge to the 2017 mainly based on the sound of the bats when hitting. The main difference is the the 2017 has the rubber fitting and the 2018 doesn't which probably accounts for the difference in sound when hitting. Also the 2018 feels stiff both my 27 and 28 oz bats.
