July 17, 2019 TimMcElroy 942 posts | Eastern Nationals- things to know and things to do around Loudoun County, VA I'm sure that STAFF will have schedules posted in a few days. While you're waiting, check out some of the cool things to do- All kinds of good info on the tournament page- https://seniorsoftball.com/?event=1387 You'll find info on hotels, opportunities for a free a bat and $100 gift cards if you book rooms through the portal Park Videos- The link above has drone videos of each park that will be used in the tournament giving you an idea of what to expect at each place- Live Streaming- All games at Potomack Lakes are live streamed so that you can watch friends play throughout the tournament. Pet Policy- PRCS does allow leashed pets inside of the main gate of each park, BUT you will not be allowed to bring your pet into the ballfield / dugout / backstop areas. It is going to be a hot weekend. If you can avoid bringing the animals that weekend, I would suggest that you do so. Alcohol & Tobacco policies- The parks are Alcohol & Tobacco free. The staff takes pride in their facilities, so they will be on the lookout for these things. Loudoun Deals App- Download the LOUDOUN DEALS app on your phone to get information on the parks, discounts at local restaurants and other info during the tournament. Vanish Brewery is roughly 15 minutes east of Bolen Park in nearby Lucketts, VA. It is a great place for a team wind-down session. Great brews, live music, food trucks, places to relax and good people. OneLoudoun offers a slew or restaurants, movie theaters, Top Golf, indoor skydiving and other things. LOCAL TIP for people that aren't familiar with the Loudoun County area- Traffic on rte 7 north in the afternoon is always slow and is particularly bad on Friday afternoons. You should be okay on Sat / Sun. Using the Dulles Greenway / toll road (rte 267) you can quickly get from most hotels to Bolen & Brambleton Parks. |
