| Dec. 22 AKA: Southpaw 179 posts | Playing in Knoxville, Tn. Close game, down by a couple. I bat last in the lineup and in this game really struggling; 0/3. Bases loaded; no outs; and I am at bat. An "aha" moment. Leadoff hitter is next; he is batting a thousand. This is our 5th game; he is on a roll! I intentionally take 3 strikes in order to not hit into a double play and our superstar is up next! He proceeded to hit into a double play; inning over. We came back and won it in the 7th. We played 3 more games and he never made another out. Anyone else ever have a "Murphys" experience? |
