I received the 2005 DeMarini EVO a few weeks ago and used it two weeks ago in a tournament. The bat hit real nice and because of the construction it still looks brand new. I took about 50 swings in batting practice last week and the more I hit the better it felt. The bat is balanced as opposed to end loaded. Even when I hit a ball towards the lower part of the barrel the ball still jupmed off the bat. It is definitely worth the money.

If anyone has one or used one, please offer your thoughts as to distance, durability and how you think it compares to the U2.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I just hit the EVO, the bat hit linedrive very good. and had good pop for a new bat. Don't think it in the same class as a Ultra 2, but one has to wait till it gets broke in. I agree wih you the big sweet spot make the ball jump off the bat. We had about 200 hits on the EVO with 3 player hitting. Also hit the new TPS, PST and the Freak +. I have to say the Freak + out hit all of them. It compares to the Ultra 2 if any bat can. We hit some Major bombs. But it only legal in USSSA and ISA.
