OREO
I tried to get over to meet you but it wasn't in the cards. We were at opposite ends of town and I was carpooling with 3 other guys. Hopefully some other time we'll meet up.

HEY TAITS, something tells me we'll cross paths
sooner or later at one of these sterling events.
How did you guys do this weekend. We lost 3 elim.
games by 1 run EACH! As last year, this tournament
seemed to be the most balanced of the year. As you may have noticed on my other posts, we were more than a
little unhappy with the umpiring. But still had a good
time, any time you can play is a good time.

Oreo, we only won 1 game of the 7 we played. I think we lost 3 games by 1 run. The seating games were the worst, The Blue Chips (IL) and Tanel\Austin Lonestars (TX) cleaned up on us. Were great games though. Yes, the umping on one field at Doc Ramo was i think the worst i've ever play in. I happened to catch for our catcher when he tired and strikes were called when they hit the ground about 4 inches to the side of both the plate and or the mat. This also applied to 2 inches in front of the plate. The rules
were not known, and most discussions were almost heated from both sides. (mgr\Ump) Players on both teams were disgusted.
I also had a good time reguardless, but was due to the comradery with players. Hope to meet up with you, some time some where. Hopefully with a competative 60's team. I like playing down so dropping in, is ok as well. The guys on Tanel I'd love to go up against again. It was fun. That's not to say Get R Done wasn't or any other, but GRD & Tanel were outgoing and friendly all through the Tourney.
