The Stockton 50\'s will be having a tournament for NCSSA at Rainbow fields in Modesto Ca. august 16 and 17th 2008. It\'s been a while since adult tourneys have been held at Rainbow Field. Elaine and her staff are glad to be hosting a senior softball event. Contact Jef @ 209 617-2824 or Ron @ 209 478-7909

Rainbow has decent fields, not great, and some cars get hit from long balls. Date will conflict with the Roseville (Placer county) for same period may be a problem.
NAS has some of their senior tourneys there.

I think due to lack of numbers the Placer event has been changed. I’m still waiting for the 08 schedule to come out for NCSSA. If we scheduled at the same time as the Placer, it gives us teams on the coast, bay area, middle and southern central valley to draw from. We'd like to have 5 or 6 team brackets to be placed on 4 fields at rainbow however there are other parks in Modesto to use if the response to our tourney is very positive. The fields are decent and NSA has attempted to get senior there also. However this is a team fund raiser and we're looking to put on a good tourney, with good awards at an establishment dedicated to promoting the enjoyment of the game of softball. Get your guys together and enter. Any day you can get with friend to play softball is a great day.

Jeff, Happy New Year
Given the contractural rationale that is used on the dates\places, You might consider those posted for major tourneys and all are there and then. But Modesto does have at least one more place I know of. Just figure 6 teams max for each field (two day event)
So given our talk in Dec, is this gonna be a joint mgr thing of what?
Hope you pull if off for the sake of your team.
It's sad that ncssa's site is not a message board as well, like this is.

This year we elected one guy to run the show. I'm just the money manger and bookkeeper. My game was up and down due to coaching last year. I just want to show up and play my position to help my team win. We lost a key player to another team over the winter and now one of the other guys has to step up. There are a couple of guys on the team that have been waiting for this opportunity. We’ll see how it goes.

Man, can I can relate to that. If there are other constant outside pressures, it can do the same as well.

Keep in touch.
