March 29, 2008 Jack Men's 55 462 posts | Pictures on website? Since I have finished putting the pictures on the website, very few have ordered any? Just wondering why? Does anyone have a better way of doing this, are you guys just not interested in getting them? Please let me know if there is anything I can do to make them better? Just don't understand. |

March 30, 2008 rockhead 11 posts | Great pictures, got my 8x10's from the 2007 world tourny, if you want to retire early keep takeing pictures of me. |
March 31, 2008 Sisavic 190 posts | Jack, I'm not sure why you didn't get orders, but here are a few observations. It's not the pictures. I looked at every picture. You did a great job taking terrirfic pictures (except the sequense which captured a very embarassing error by our 2nd baseman - me!). Many of our players and spouses take lots of photos and share them via email or the Internet. But, very few are saved or made into hard-copy photos. Players like to view the photos, but don't want to save any of them, except for special pix such as a team photo when winning the championship. It's like watching a ball game on TV. It could be a great game, but no one would save a copy. Jack, that's my best shot. Mike |
March 31, 2008 Jack Men's 55 462 posts | Thanks for the insight, I just know if I ever had my picture taken in "action" I would be very happy to pay $1.50 a picture. Taking pictures with what most people have as a camera won't take a high quality picture. Sorry about taking a picture of our error, but I like to tell a story with the pictures of the game. So what you are saying is you just don't like action pictures? We, (SSUSA) thought we would give the players a resonalbe price and provide a service to Senior Softball players, but if they see no value we won't do it anymore. |

March 31, 2008 Sisavic 190 posts | Jack, It's not that I (we) don't like action shots. It's like taking many Christmas family digital photos and then showing them to the family. After showing them once or maybe twice, they get field, except for perhaps one or two which are made into hard copies to be displayed or whatever. I hope this helps. Mike |
April 3, 2008 surf88 Men's 65 1000 posts | Jack, Quite a few guys would like it, I think. You need to get some more exposure. For example, perhaps place an ad in Sr. Softball News guiding players to your website. It takes time to get your venture out there. Ed |
April 3, 2008 Jano23 Men's 65 97 posts | I just got my Phoenix Worlds photos from Jack. It was really easy and the photos are great. I just sent him an email (see his website: www.jacksactionshots.com), told him which pics I wanted, and received them hours later. After I mail him my check, I will have paid only $1.50 per photo - a super deal. I have to guess that his problem is advertising, because his prices can't be beat. |
April 3, 2008 db14 104 posts | Jack: Just a comment. Many of us are really not aware of your service. We were in Phoenix and really would have enjoyed a team picture but did not know you were there. In addition many players have stated that they personally would have also enjoyed some personal action shots of themselves. Many guys are moving from 50's to 55's to 60's etc. and are unaware what you provide for Senior Softball. |
