Legacy?
Has anyone tried the Miken Legacy? I took a few swings with SAG's Legacy yesterday and it doesn't compare with the Ultra2. He said that the bat only had about 50 swings on it so we're hoping it will loosen up with more swings.
Anyone have a similar experience?

Not to sound flippant or cynical, but the Legacy is a Miken Ultra in name only. This is my first year in Senior softball and I had heard about the durability issues with the standard Ultra II, so i decided to try the Legacy. Now, since this bat has a warranty, i was not foolish enough to think it would perform the same, but the drop off is quality was shocking. At this point, i only use it for BP, as it does not compare to the other bats out there - i.e., Ultra II, Combat, or Demarini.

At the end of the day, the Senior players support my experiencet, because there are very few Legacys being used at the torurnaments that i have particapted in this year. And you know as well as i do, if there is a hot bat, every one jumps on it yesterday.

Hope this helps.

Thanks uda,
I just wonder what the rating is, meaning 98mph or 100mph, the bat has.
It looks as if Miken has pulled a fast one on us!

Bruce I'm not a Miken guy but several seniors in Las Vegas have this bat. I have hit the bat and once broken in seems fine. I know that both of the hitters that I have seen use this have said the breakin period is extensive. I believe upwards of 350 swings. It definitely is not a 98 or 100 that I can tell you when broken in performs like a senior bat from what I have seen.

I have a legacy and so far with about 150 swings, its a good 10% less pop than my combat. hope it gets hotter as so far I m dissapointed in this bat.
