July 6, 2008 taits Men's 65 4548 posts | Open Business meeting. Do any hole an actual business meeting that gets "problems" solved or at least aired? NCSSA holds one a year, but it isn't by the book, close but still not as it should be, Referring to Robert's Rules or Order. Perhaps holding a Senior Softball Convention with submitted questions by managers Sponsors and players could b e submitted in advance so time could be given fairly for a reply about them,, maybe even voted on by managers\sponsors only to cut back on time in having all players submit items... They, the players, would, need to submit to the mgr.\spon and he would shift through them and submit to the Assn's officials that run the event. Perhaps votes could be taken and start a dialogue for communication between for problems being voiced. Some dialogue has started for the Plus teams or some of them, I hope the end result covers them all. If a conference could be done between all teams for a given age rating at the same time do it that way, one at a time, Perhaps one of those IM functions would work for it but then scrolling up and down trying to read the question and answer could get confusing... Town hall type would work best I think. Each team, (coach , mgr. or sponsor) submits say 20 questions, with multiple choices for how to solve the question, I'm sure there will be over lapping of each so that should help, but many others may be multi facetted in how to solve or what the problem is.. and might be necessary to take some time to get an answer. |
