New team
Been playing senior softball the last 2 years. The team I played for was not very organized and was quite frustrating! I am starting a 40 team of my own in the sacramento area and have the players. Would like some advice or ideas on the process, any unforseen problems or issues I might run into? Where are there any other websites for tounaments to play? Any and all info and advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

You might ask the officers of NCSSA if they plan on allowing the younger than 50 group to play in their tourneys.
Go to; http://ncssa.info/
Site has changed so finding them will be a challenge unless you use link to last years page.

Forgot, that the only other tourneys are U-trip which does have them in your area as well as down south and an occasional NSA tourney.
Go to www.playutrip.com I believe it is. They play Elk Grove and Sac complex as well as in Chino & other places up there. Many othes in so cal too.
Make sure you have a solid core that will show and a strong roster.

McJeep,
It helps to have a good Pitcher first and then a shortstop. You can build from there. Being a manager is a very big responsibility that should not be taken lightly. Sounds like the reason for your last teams demise. Be the manager and don't allow other players to manage. Building a winning team starts at the top. Great players help, but the team needs to be directed and get along with each other to Gel. Lotsa Luck!!!!
