| Feb. 27 Bob50 Men's 60 242 posts | I would just like to send an email out to all the guys I met this winter at Bayland Park in their Senior Winter Softball League. For the first time in my life, this Chicago guy, got to play over thirty games outdoors over the winter before my planned return to the Chicago area in April. Rather than mention names because you know who you are I will just state that many of the guys from Texas Thunder, a couple of Hendricks 50's, a couple from Mission, one from Boaz and many others treated me very well and as a new friend and competitor. I in turn met a lot of new friends in this league. Next year I plan to start playing at the start of the winter league so I will see you at the beginning of November. To all of them I wish a good year at tournaments and hope to see you many of you during this year at same. Last weekend I played in a local tournament in Pasadena, Texas, with Team Houston against Hendricks, Willies Wolves, Mission and Boaz. Again a bunch of guys that I shared quite a few laughs with and a great hitting team. Good luck to all of you this year. Greg Thomas and Jim Tharp--nice job running the tournament. See you next year.
