Anyone out there from Rancho Cordova, Ca?
Anybody out there graduate from Cordova High in the early 70's? Would be great to hear from an old classmate. Will be in Mesquite this week. The 70's was a great decade for our school in football and baseball. I believe we were rated as the #1 high school football team of the decade for the 70's. The Class of 1972 yielded 3, first round draft choices in baseball. Most notable, Jerry Manuel, current manager of the NY Mets.

Forgot to mention Gerald Willhite, Class of 1976. Played for the Denver Broncos, 1982-1986.

mad dog,
Didn't forget about Randy. He was 1 of the 3 drafted in the 1st round. He was our neighbor down the street. Pitched for the Phillies. Mike Ondina was drafted in the first round also, but never made it out of the minors.I did forget about Max Venable. He played 12 years in the Majors. I played on a All Star Pony League team with him in 1970. I don't think his brother Darrell played anywhere. I also forgot the Nyman brothers, Chris(1973) and Nyls(1972). Chris played 2 years for the White Sox and Nyls played 4 years for the White Sox also. Jerry Manuel actually had a scholarship to Notre Dame playing football. I believe he was a punt returner. Don't know what happened to Rod Connors. Played Junior High football with him. Dude was fast. Also Larry wolfe (1971), played in the Majors from 1977 to 1980. Pretty amazing crop of athletes during that 5 year period. Who was your ex?
