Nov. 20 curveball Men's 65 705 posts | For an organization that supposedly watches out for seniors health and safety, you dropped the ball! There is no way you should schedule games for seniors without providing water. As a recovering cancer patient without working saliva grands, keeping my mouth moist and staying hydrated is vital to my health. There was water the 1st day, then I was told the jugs were stolen! Solution: buy more jugs. Tournament was well run other than the water issue. Umpiring was good. Competition was superb. Congrats to Rusty's on beating us in the finals. Great group of guys.............. Two of the outfields on the original fields, haven't been mowed in quite some time, maybe months.....tuff on the outfielders. (Shadow Rock Complex) Lastly, to Jim Sherman, hang in there. Looking to see you well and healthy later in the year. Rob Robinson Bickerton 65's |
Nov. 20 Dirty Men's 50 1371 posts | Rob, I am in the same boat and always, always, always bring my own water. It is easy to do, and the only one ultimately responsible for taking care of me is me. |
Nov. 20 Stretch14 Men's 50 202 posts | Water is cheap. I bring my own no matter where I'm playing. |
Nov. 21 Garocket Men's 55 259 posts | When I play I alway bring my own insulated bottle of water. I have a hanger that just clips on the fence. I hate the water that most places furnish, always has tha hose pipe taste. If it is not furnished the team used to keep a cooler in the dugout with bottled water in it. a case at Sams is only $4.59 and gives most everyone two bottles during the game and was always cold Th coolers with the wheels on them was always easy to manage |
