Congratulations to coach Al and all the players of Steve Levin Financial who are the 3A Spring National champions. The two FHC B teams entered eliminate the FHC A teams and make it to the finals, having to play the extra game, tied after regulation, extra innings, bases loaded, two outs, and winning by one run......competition just doesn't get any better than that. It was storybook, a weekend we will all remember.

Thanks to SSUSA and staff for your efforts, congratulations to all the Steve Levin players, you earned it.

Congratulations to the Metro Stars on a well deserved championship. Baer, always good to see you. Wagon, didn't get to play you or a chance to meet up with you and shoot the breeze, maybe next time.

Also, a great job by the Veltri bunch and playing 5 in a row to force the "if" game. You guys are a class act and a great group of guys. Oh and by the way, we're meeting at the mound if you guys want to join with us again.

Audie, I heard we're scheduled to play you guys on field #1 this morning. I think the committee wants to make sure we play each other at least once on every field. Patty Mac, Horace, Keith, Allen, Bobby D .. always a pleasure to see and compete against you.

Hope everyone got home safe and no one suffered any major injuries.

Hope everyone takes note. Did not see what went on, but it looks like in the 50 Major, a Major-plus team (Tapley) played in the same division as 6 other Major teams ... and they didn't win it!

Giving up 5 runs a game and limiting their HR's to 5 is very tough to overcome in an entire tournament and a perfect example of why the Major-plus and Major divisions should be COMBINED until Phoenix.

Teams do not want to play in 2-3 team tournaments! I'm sure a Major-plus team would win with the equalizer sometimes but that's okay. A good equalizer is one that there is a 50-50 split.

If tournaments at the Major level are ran this way, the "brass" can see who is playing the best at the end of the season and then separate the teams based on PERFORMANCE throughout the season at the national tournament in Phoenix.
