Good idea, Little Paul, but until senior softball promotes the 40+ division, it will always have trouble getting going. Look at the ratings section on the website, they don't even have the 40+ teams listed.

They should drop 40+ because there are still so many players still playing "kids" ball, make a 45+ division, and call it "seniors" not "masters", the way 40+ is currently called. This way the 45+ teams could join in with the top 50+ teams when nessessary and make enough teams for a tournament. The way it is now, since there are so few 40+ teams, the division gets cancelled the majority of the time and the 50+ teams are too old to be playing against the 40's. There does seem to be a good number of teams in the California Cup tournament, however.

Good luck, I would like to see 40+ pick-up!.

They do promote it but it is behind the scenes.
Under 50 is 'masters'. Not Seniors.
CC is looking for for Ca teams attending but I recall only 3 teams from out of state, one NV that attends regularly and two Co teams that go all over.
'Kids ball' shaved and altered bat games.
45 year olds can not play with the 50's but the 50's game lay with them.
I see 15 year spreads in tournaments in CA all the time. So either someone is pretty bad or just the opposite, especially in ncssa. Fill the bracket however one can seems to be the standard.
What they want and what they get teams wise is always a wild card. Might be one lone team wanting in or 6. Where they all end up is the question, but they will be there.

Hey taits, Just trying to get a 40+ group going in this ... but they are very discouraged. Promoting behind the scenes? That seems it would be tough to do!
