Does anyone have an idea of the next hot bat coming out that is approved for all associations?

Found most of this info on other sites. I believe my black SSEST and Rocket Tech are still very good bats especially since the 98mph is now the standard. Plus they are cheap to buy.

"The bat performance number 98mph is a 'not to exceed' number. Actually, most new bats, even upper echelon, will test no higher than the upper 80's lower 90's to give them ample 'headroom' for when they break in. The 'kiss of death' for a many would be to have their bat banned and have to deal with all of us who can't swing it. On the other hand, the "100mph" bats really did fall between 98 and 100mph ... less and they would've been 98mph bats ... more and they would've been banned".

When the sweetspot is larger, it makes the bat appear to hit farther because the bat hits far more often. The Ultra and Ultra II proved this by passing the test, but being 'hot' all along its barrel.

We perceive a bat to be hot based on the balls we hit. For example, if you hit the 525's the PST and original RT and TZ were hot, but not so much with the 375 mush balls.

In the end, 'feel' may be the most important issue. The bat that "feels right' suits the hitter's swing mechanics and allows him to maximize his skills ... which often translates to greater distance more often. An example for me is that I'm hitting my 28oz Rocket Tech for about 100+ points greater batting average and more power than my Freak Plus. Does that make the RT a better bat? Not necessarily ... but because it's feel suits my swing, it's better for me.
So, if you hit off a tee often you'll notice that several good bats will hit within 10í-20í of each other. That doesn't make them the same, however, because in your hands and hitting your balls their sweetspot and feel may yield very different results.
Bottom line, save your money and buy an older bat.

If you can swing an endload the Envy is great.

We won't know what the next hot bat will be as they won't be out till spring of 2006.

I disagree on the PST and mush 375's. It depends on what 375 balls you are using. All 375's are not mush balls.
