Senior moment. I also should have asked who is going to Tulsa in June? Christian Brothers Automotive is planning on going and we'd like to see some different teams. We've been seeing the same teams at all the others and be nice to see what foreigners look like. Come on guys and let us know whos going.

Texas Tornado 60's are not going to Tulsa, starting the 60's on Thursday was a problem and the cost was a little high. But we will be in Plano.

Red, did I miss something? I believe the 60's play on Saturday and Sunday. Let me know if I am wrong. We are planning on Friday as travel day.

The 60's start on Thursday in Tulsa. The schedule we (Teeters) currently have is for 4 roudn robin games and a single elimination tournament.

Carl Smith is a big complex. I'm don't understand why they're starting so early or limiting it to a single elimination format. I hope the Thursday starts aren't a trend for qualifiers (they did it in KC last year, too). To Red's point, it makes it difficult on those of us who still work.

By the way, the SPA website still does not show the Thursday date, but its in the tournament fact sheet they sent out.

it appears that the spa will be trying to set up the 60's,65's 70's,etc to play on thur, fridays, for qualifiers .leaving the weekends for the younger group. i overheard an spa official make the remark @ mustang. they assume that all 60's,65's and over are retired. i am sure most are, but a few are still working. i hope the finals will not be handled the same way.

We are playing Plano, Hot Springs and Austin prior to the Nationals in Plano and as far as I know Tulsa is the only tourney to start the 60's on Thursday. In the Nationals we are prepared to play on Thursday if necessary. I think they are trying to get to many teams on the same weekend, and I understand the cost to rent the fields is the same so they try to play all ages on the same weekend in the qualifiers.

Red, I am still confused. The Tulsa tournament, June 17 & 18 is run by SSWC. As far as we know its only Saturday and Sunday . If you know something different send me an email with that info. There is an SPA tournament in Tulsa in May.

GT,

I wasn't aware there was an SSWC tournament in Tulsa in June. I was referring to the SPA tournament this coming weekend. Sorry to add to the confusion. I should have read your post more carefully.

No problem TT. I have those moments all the time. Reason they call it Senior Softball. I'm just glad someone is reading the posts and replies. Thats what its here for. Hopefully we'll meet up at a tournament along the way or at Nationals for sure. I know we'll all get that one right.
PS I'm a yankee transplant and that adds to the confusion.
