Combat
If you look at the Combat website, it clearly states they have a one year warranty on all bats they manufacture. I used a new, blue Combat Mike Macenko bat for just about 3 months and it cracked. I called Combat and they said they don't offer a warranty on that bat. Apparently whay they advertise and what they really follow through with are two completely different things. Very disappointed in the customer service by Combat. I wrote to 4 people at the corporate headquarters and only heard back from one. I will never buy another bat from Combat. I used the yellow version for almost 2 years and liked it,except for the end cap issues. I am hoping I can find a bat that has endurance to last a while and is manufactured by a company that backs it's products.

I looked on their website. The only senior bat on there was the Centenarian. It says clearly on their website.......No Warranty! The yellow and the blue Combat Mike Macenko's have not had a warranty since they came out. Don't know what company you have in mind to purchase senior bats from with warranty. Good luck.

The website says they have a one year warranty on ALL bats they manufacture. This bat I have was manufactured by Combat. Thus, logic says Combat should cover their products. This bat is not a Centenarian so it is irrelevant. They aren't backing their claim on all bats they manufacture. Very disappointed in Combat.

Why would we accept a no warranty bat? When you buy something in the USA, MOST of the products come with a warranty.
Dont you think that these companies make a lot more profit by having a no warranty product?
What would these bat companies do if we did not accept this no warranty crap?
I know they would raise the prices and we wouldnt buy these bats but this no warranty crap is profit in the pockets of all the companies that sell them.
What can we do? Well stop buying those bats but then we dont have a bat for softball. Right!
How about a bat out or moratorium on non warranteed bats or i dont im tired of buying bats that are not lasting like they use to be years ago.

Money....Money....Money....!!!!!

Don22, I don't personally know of any senior softball bat which has a warranty. Check the website of where you bought your blue Combat.
If they had a warranty, they would cost significantly more. To make the senior bat perform to the senior standard it is inherently weaker and that is life. If you buy a good USSSA bat it will be in the $230 to $300 range with a 1 year warranty. Unless you are a big hitter, you will find it takes much longer for the USSSA bat to reach top performance.
My USSSA Combat Virus enhanced is now after a couple years just behind my yellow Macenko. The virus I use for singles and the Macenko when I am going for the whole enchilada. It works for me.
I think you are being unfair to Combat, but there are many options out there. If you search this forum you will find many examples of senior bats
breaking in a very short time- 10 to 50 swings.
Read this forum on the suggested way to break in a softball bat. Good luck with your next bat.

I heard that Bill Gates Bats is putting out a warrantied bat. They are taking orders now. I think they are guaranteed not to break. It's supposed to be out in May. You'll have to find the contact on an older post. I'm staying with Combat and Miken.

I understand that Bill Gates is no longer affiliated with GSC Bat Co.

In response to a few posts above....
I know the Macenko bat is not sold by Combat, but it is manufactured by Combat and their wedsite says they have a warranty on every bat they manufacture.
There are some bats that come with a warranty. I've seen the ads and I realize the cost goes up a bit with a warranty.
I'm not being remotely unfair to Combat. For them, or anyone else, to charge $200 or more for a product and then not back that product is poor business. Yes, there ARE options out there and from now on one of my options won't be Combat. The fact that bats break after 10-50 swings is not a viable reason nor acceptable for a bat company to blow off a customer who just spent a ton of money and got nothing in return.

Don22 I agree that you are not being unfair.I had a Senior bat last just six swings.Marketed to be more durable, I surely expected it to last an entire weekend.
It wasn't a Combat and I was aware of "no Warranty" but, it's all about $$$ not being ethical. You can best beleive that I won't purchase another.
"No WARRANTY" equals "Buyer beware"

I realize there are guys who can drop $200-300 on a bat and not blink. I am not one of those guys. If I buy a golf club, a toaster or bat for a good chunk of change, I would hope if that product fails the company would have the integrity to replace the product and keep the customer satisfied. If Combat would have done that for me I would have spread the word of the good customer service the same way I am posting my present dissatisfaction. If they were to call me today and tell me they will replace the bat, I would come on this post and recant everything and sing praises to Combat. I called Anaconda, who told me to call Combat who, in turn, told me to call Anaconda etc, etc....nonsense. They got their money and they are happy.

Welcome to Senior Softball. We've been dealing with this phenomenon for years. They make it, you break it, they sell you another one. Good luck in your choice.

I hate to beat a dead horse and I have no vested interest in Combat, but fair is fair. I assume since you mentioned Anaconda that you bought it from them. I looked up the blue Macenko on the Anaconda website and it clearly says No Warranty for both the balanced and end loaded bat. My guess is you checked Combat's site after the bat broke. Don't misunderstand me, I would not be happy if my Macenko broke after 3 months, but I know there is no warranty. How many swings did you get out of it. What temperature? How did you break it in? Did you use it for BP? 3months and 400 swings might be considered very good for a senior bat.

Not even CLOSE to 400 swings. Bottom line.....Combat says they have a warranty on every bat they manufacture. It's clearly stated on the website. I bought one of their bats, it broke, they won't back the claim. Totally unfair and they clearly don't care about the customer satisfaction. It comes down to integrity. If a company has it, it shows.

Even a cursory look at the Combat website makes clear that many of their bats are specifically and unequivocally labelled No Warranty.

The Combat Mike Macenko bat is manufactured by Combat. Combat says, clearly, that it has a 1-yr warranty on all bats it manufactures. It's on the first page of it's website. I don't want excuses or deceptive contradictions. That's cursory enough for me. Back up the claim or don't make the claim.

No sir, not me!

But you know we are all suckers, though me to a far less extent than many of you with more bats than you have golf clubs, for buying anything that a company won't stand behind. It really is just foolish.

The website says all bats Combat manufactures have a 1 year warranty.. It's there, we can all read it. I'm not a sucker because I won't have this happen to me twice by Combat. I had one bat. I haven't won the lottery.

The only place I can find a statement similar to what you're claiming on the website says they have "up to" a year warranty. The pages for the individual bats say "No Warranty."

It's been discussed here before -- warranties would add about $100 to the price of the bat, and it would seem that people don't want to pay that additional price. I don't see any composite bats with warranties any more; fine to boycott Combat if you want to, but good luck finding someone you will buy from that has a different policy. (FWIW, wood bats don't have warranties either.)

I will "boycott" Combat. Don't need anyone's permission to do so. Not only was the bat itself and not getting my money's worth the issue, but when folks in corporate can't even have the motivation to respond then it goes deeper than the product itself.
