| Oct. 30, 2004 king of pain | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: championship rings einstien, personally i have won 3 world titles in 3 different levels of play and let me tell you it was no less gratifying to win at aa as it was to win at major,it was all a great feeling,and maybe it will never happen agian because as you know winng 1 time is hard enough and you have to have some luck to do it, thats why i feel the rewards should be the same for aa as major as unfortunatly not every player is a stud and cant compete in the majors but the winng of a world or national title shoud not be considered second class to the major level. thats my thoughts!! |
| Oct. 29, 2004 king of pain | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: championship rings has this ever crossed anyones elses mind about tournament championship rings from the spa torurnaments. why is it that only major-major plus teams get these rings? does this seem fair to all the aa- aaa teams that play in the same tournaments run by the spa but are considered second class because thet dont hit home runs every time up?? why is it aa-aaa pay the same entry fee as major- plus teams but end up getting 10$,dimestore watchs for winng the championship! why is it that aa-aaa teams spend just as much money to play in these tournaments but dont get the same rewards if their fourtanate to win one, why is this?? agian, are major teams just so superior that the spa feels they deserve rings??i think not. as as matter of fact, winng a national in any bracket is a major accomplishment and should be rewarded justly. as a fact, it IS harder to win a aa-aaa crown just for the fact you have 5 times as many teams to play compared with maybe 4 or 5 major teams playin each other 3 times each to win it.so the fact is its harder to win aaa-aaa just because of the amount of games you play, why shouldnt you get a ring?? i think this is wrong and needs to be address by the spa as soon as possible. by the way, ive played at every level of ball(major,aaa, aa) and have won a world title or the national title so this is not sour grapes by any means, just what should be fair to ALL divisions, not just favot the major teams. thankx |
| Oct. 17, 2004 king of pain | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: las vegas winter world in nov. does any one have the format as to how the games will be played?? were a new team from the south side of chicago, and were called the "chicago buzzards". we play in the 50's age groupe,and were intersted in other teams that are going to be her playin aa ball.if your team is going, could you tell me your mane and wher your from please! also, is this a well run tournament since it will be played in only 2 days i was concerned about the format.does anyone have info on this? lastel, if your teams going give up your team name, ok? thanks, the king of pain!! |
