Haven't tried hitting a wet or dry tampon lately, but as you stated believe I would find something else to do.

When we play in Charlotte they use those 52/300 balls and senior bats are aloud. We have found more success using ASA bats.

Miken really addressed their durability concerns with this new Triad blackout. Haven't heard of but one failed blackout all year. Does take time to brake in though.
Haven't heard anyone give the Demarini much positive remarks.

Too bad your not old enough to have a ten or twelve year old grandchild. They are the cheapest expert technical advisor you can get. In the meantime put me down for the e-mail snippets.

Alan, after attending your softball camp I realize softball and equipment sales are just part of your business. You have a lot of irons in the fire as we said growing up.
BUT, do you think you would have time maybe once month to send out a info letter(diet, training, newest equipment) related to senior softball for anyone who wanted to sign up? Maybe Bob and Davey could contribute also. I'm sure you would have a good response. Also if you decided I hope your sweet wife doesn't find out who came up with this idea.

Grimmie, I'm 67 and would still play the game I love without the senior bats now that I'm retired and have the time. But it is still rewarding when I'm able to get one over the finch. That would never happen with the ole aluminum bats.

Fall Camp? What a GREAT idea Alan! Do you have the dates yet? When can I sign up? I look forward to seeing you and your staff again this fall.

One other thought is I along with a lot of others I bet would like to see you construct a message board that yourself, maybe Bob and Davey could have weekly tips and answer our questions about training and nutrition.

Boy, did you open up a can of worms with us ole guys.

I echo all the above remarks about the camp in spades!! What impressed me the most besides Alan's Christian witness was how his staff was genuinely excited and willing to try to help us upgrade our game after them participating at the highest levels of softball. They didn't seem to get bored or tired of even our simplest questions. They always had endless time for you with the fundamentals of the game. They were all so accessible anytime.
Jason, son, I have never seen a softball fly so high and so far as it did when you hit it and you did it with a Combat fresh out of the wrapper. After hitting some 350 ft. and 375 ft. balls, he turns to us and states he is now going to see how far he can hit it as he was just trying to get some lift on the previous ones. WOW!!! They were out of the park, across the road, over the trees into the parking lot. Of course all the staff were impressive accomplished long-ball hitters. Davey, you're truly amazing.

I received tons of useful information about nutrition(Bob O'Brien is not just another dumb jock) and instruction on hitting and fielding, which has encouraged and got me excited about improving my game this coming year.

Thank-You Alan Tanner and staff. See you next year.

I'm not a pitcher and never had to fool with a mask, but just this week a pitcher at the Montgomery tournament is thanking our LORD today he had one on.

Do you guys find that we're hearing greater number of hits on several brand bats before they brake? Seems the manufactures are all making headway in durability.

Discussion: Miken White vs. Big Cat

I have both(Big Cat&Dudley Lighting) and prefer the Dudley over these two. Dudley is easier for me(an old guy) to keep up a little bat speed. Just my preference, everyone is different sobs.

We don't have 3 feet of snow, but it was 8 degrees this morning in upper South Carolina and my ole bones can't take it. Looking forward to coming down and getting thawed out, getting some great batting instructions and position tips. Also want to find out if I can hang with you guys on the tall telling(lies)event.

Discussion: It Seemed Like a Good Idea At The Time

Never want to let a chance to say THANK YOU to you guys and girls who served in Vietnam. Your treatment upon returning is something I'm very ashamed of. So glad finally you are now recognized for your service. Lost my best friend over there. Didn't have to go myself(got classified 4F trying to play ball), but I think of my friend and those of you who served everyday! My GOD bless you for your service.

Discussion: Factors in defining what a good hitter is

The teammate who seems to always get the clutch hit and is always on base is the definition of a great hitter, BUT as you all know it's the home run hitter that gets all the attention and glory.
