Love the self promoting Benji4,, very impressive.

I remember you comparing your team to Resmondo in the past. Ridiculous

The Trump Stote may be good in at high altitudes and cool weather but in high temperature and high humidity the ball is not very good.

My bet is if you polled all SS players on which ball they prefer from below list the Stote wouldn't fair very well.

Rock
Baden Fire ball
ISSA Tattoo
Trump Stote

Ol Skool

Welcome to Pensacola. We have a very good Senior program here.

There are two 50 tournament teams, Doc C's a 50M team and Adiktiv Sports a 50AAA team.

We have a very competitive Senior league that plays on Tuesday nights and another league that plays on Saturday mornings. .

Look forward to meeting you.

JT is the real deal. Outstanding on the IF, high on base % with HR power, dependable and a team leader.

Give this guy a shot he's a game changer.

JT, I wish old enough to play with us.

Vance, great seeing you too my friend. The Swarm 55M team is for real.

Hopefully the powers to be in Pensacola do the same with the 60's as you've shown above for the 50s and 55s. The SPA rule book is clear on the equalizer rule but the SPA has chosen not to enforce their own rules in the last two tournaments we played.

When the organizations let the teams dictate who they want to play vs following their published rules they have a credibility problem.

SSUSA please answer.

If you have a tournament with the following teams how would the bracket look?

5 60 AAA teams
2 60M teams

3 50 AAA teams
3 50 M teams

Also, would threats of teams not coming if they're placed against teams they don't want to play impact your brackets.

Ho

The tournaments we play are comprised of teams primarily from the Florida Panhandle, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee and Louisiana. There are 2 60M teams in this area. Under your solution we would never get to play an SPA or SSUSA tournament until the Nationals. The 60AAA teams we play are legit AAA teams so forcing them to play Major isn't the answer.

Somehow the equalizer rules must be applied. This isn't a new problem and you'd think the organizations would have figured it out by now.

Why not put all the 60AAA teams and 60M teams together. Declare the highest finishing AAA teams and highest finishing Major teams winners of their division?

Next up the SPA Souther NIT Triple Crown Qualifier. We've already been told that the tournament director may disregard the SPA rule book when it comes to what to do with the two 60M teams.

The organization wants teams to move up or force teams to move up but then discriminate against you and disregard their own published rule books at tournament time.

Where should a Major team be placed in a tournament (1) against AAA teams in the same age group or (2) against AAA teams in the next lower age group.

Sorry for the double post and long read.

In March we played in the SPA Southern Spring NIT. There were 7 60 teams, 5 AAA and 2 Major. After we arrived some of the 60AAA decided they didn't want to play the Major teams so RH declared the two Major teams would play a 2 out of 3 even though the SPA rule book clearly has and equalizer rule for this situation. Both Major teams were 2-1 in the RR losing to a AAATeam.

This weekend we played in the SPA Mid South NIT. Similar situation except only one 60 M team. The tournament director decked we would play the 55AAA teams, no problem right. Well, he decided to ignore the SPA rule book and forced the 60M team to spot the 55 AAA 5 runs. The rule book is clear, no runs given in the situation.

Brett

I agree with Vance, stay with the 5 year increments since that's how other organizations work and how teams are currently built.

I also believe if the USSSA or ASA would take your ideas they could compete with the big 3. Currently the ASA shows no interest in this endeavor and the USSSA hasn't pushed their program. To tackle this on your own would be very difficult.

What would work in our area is establish something similar to the Florida Half Century Club. Play in Montgomery, Marietta, Birmingham, Pensacola or other locations in the SE once a month.

With respected softball guys like you, Jimbo, Don H., Dennis R. Bruce F. and others teaming together this is a possibility.

You cold cut travel costs, entry fee costs, hit a great ball and still play other tournaments as desired.

Miken is very good about replacing their "non warranty" senior bats if you have a valid receipt less than 30 days old.

Go to the Miken webpage and follow the warranty process.

This doesn't answer your question obviously but maybe you can get a replacement.

Good luck

Thanks for your time and explanations. I remember very well the poster you referred to and I will not become that person. As a softball player and person who has been blessed to play for 40+ years I appreciate the job you, Ridge, RB and others do for us.

Hopefully National Rules Committee will address the softball issue and make the best decision for all involved.

Thanks for your hard work and dedication to the SSUSA and softball.

Glad to hear you don't have a problem with the First Amendment.

Your calling people "the anonymous keyboard courage crew" is also very condescending and I think you know that.

I've read/posted on this msg board for years and the ball you choose to hit has been spoken poorly of for years. I happen to agree with others who have stated dissatisfaction with your ball, especially in high temperatures.

I doubt very seriously my submitting identiable correspondence or attending your convention would have any impact on you but I will be forwarding an email with my opinion.

My name is Steve Perlman am I'm from Gulf Breeze Florida. You have any info you need from me on my SSUSA registration form.

So I guess I'm no longer a member of the anonymous courage keyboard crew.

SSUSA Staff

You say "no problem" and yet the vast majority posting here say your ball is garbage.. Your remark seems very condescending considering the ball players, you know the people who pay your salary, that think you have a problem. I guess the business adage "the customer is always right" doesn't apply to you.

Big cat7, we hit the Fire ball in Montgimery a couple weeks ago and the ball is really good. Agree, there were some Badens that weren't great but the ones out now are fine.

Pizza boy, there are HR limits so the game is not all about home runs. Most seniors prefer a good ball/bat combination and why wouldn't you. From your comment let me ask you a question, "when's the last time you hit a HR?"

Try hitting the Trump Stote in 90 degree Florida heat. It's an absolute sock. Why can't the organizations put out a list of approved 44/375 balls and let you hit your own. This would allow everybody to hit the balls they like and the organizations wouldn't have to provide/chase balls.

SPA Baden Fire ball and ISSA Tattoo ball are far superior to the Trump. IMO

i have the 2015/16 and 2017 bats. The most notable difference IMO is the 2017 has less of the tacky grip. Performance wise they seem very close to me however one of the guys I hit BP with (and he can murder it) thinks the older model is more lively.

Dave, the seniorsoftballbatreviews.com, guy thinks the newer model has more pop.

Go figure

Joe is an outstanding SS, hitter and great team mate. If you're looking for an outstanding addition for the TOC or your team needs a SS/IF for upcoming season you should check JT out. We played today and he's in is season form.

JT, wish you were a little older, you'd be a game changer on our team.

Give this young man a look, he's the real deal.
