Yes I know the obvious ones :) and can the opposing team have a throw the ball back catcher for you but they are not allowed to make a play at home . |
May 20, 2020 tc4whlr | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Please, a story from anyone! Anything but Corona, Corona, Corona! Don't know about the rest of you but here in wisconsin during the 80's you competed for 2 trophies every tournament-the championship and the beer drinking trophy. The majority of the time the beer drinking trophy was bigger than the tournament trophy. Played to win so on Sunday you would have a later start time so your feet didn't make so much noise when you were running (lol) |
Oct. 14, 2019 tc4whlr | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Game Balls garyheifner, we had a right handed batter hit a ball right at the left fielder who set up camp to make a normal catch but then the ball started hooking and he wasn't within 5 ft of the ball when it hit the ground. The ball just seemed act unusally different compared to years past. |

Sept. 16, 2019 tc4whlr | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: discussion At the world's in Vegas for play in games why don't you have an east vs west and a north vs south and the winners would play for the national championship. Just because the east and west have the higher numbers teams( I would guess do to greater population density) in their region doesn't mean they always have the best team ( I.E. national champ) |

Aug. 19, 2019 tc4whlr | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: discussion In vegas they always have a east vs west game, why isn't there a game for the northern national champs vs the southern national champs, your thoughts? |
Aug. 13, 2019 tc4whlr | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: rules interpretation Runner on 2nd with 2 outs, a line drive hit up the middle, runner takes off, ball hits the runner while off the base for the 3rd out does the same batter lead off next inning or does the batting order rotate? 2nd scenario- 1 out runner on 2nd, ball hit towards SS, ball hits runner SS plays ball off runner throws to 1st to get the batter-dbl play or dead ball batter gets 1st? |

Sept. 10, 2018 tc4whlr | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: How do you like the 1 n 1 count? The 1-1 is GREAT, no bats on the shoulders. Guys are ready to hit and as for taking the first strike on you, guess what they are going to pitch the next one just like the first one UNDERHAND in a 6-12 arc |

June 4, 2018 tc4whlr | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: what's the call Guys on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out. A ball is hit to the ss, he fields the ball and sets up to throw the guy out trying to score from 3rd, as he goes to throw the guy going from 2nd to 3rd runs into(literally) and knocks the ball out of his hand. I know at this point it is a dead ball, runner is out, batter ?, the guy trying to score from 3rd must return to 3rd right ? Let me know thanks. |
May 30, 2018 tc4whlr | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Is the infield fly rule based on physical ability to catch the ball? Nancy one for you, with a long break between games (asa) our pitcher and catcher caught up on past times over quite a few beers. game time arrives infield fly between the 2 of them, neither tries to catch it (or can function good enough to get it) so it drops between them to this starts a shouting argument between the two of them of WHO is going to get the ball, F you you get it, I am not getting it you get it, This went back and forth till the 3rd baseman went and picked up the ball. So to me nothing is routine on an infield fly :) |
April 23, 2018 tc4whlr | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: 1-1 count and new ball I find you guys that whine about the height of the pitch and the 1-1 count entertaining. This summer will be my 38th yr of unlimited 1-1 count ball. A groove ball is 20-25 ft high and if they get an early strike on you it only goes higher. We learned early on how to guard the dish and taking a pitch was only done when the pitcher was really struggling. So knowing I only get 2 cracks at a 10 ft instead of 3 doesn't really bother me it makes me smile. Love the game and remember as our dads told us it could be worse :) |
