Discussion: Evil B.P. 52+ Softballs

I had heard that the Evil BP ball was developed to help break in bats. Just saying what I was told. Another vendor that worked for Louisville swore by that. He said at the time that Slugger/Demarini were coming out with a new ball just for that. Who do you believe? SSUSA should have a voting poll for this one......

Discussion: Trump Stote Softball Concerns

Glad to see that bond 171513 saw it right away. The only reason you used the Microcell synthetic cover in Florida was shortages to the regular Trump/Stote 44/375 ball. When the balls are available again I am hoping the SSUSA will be playing with those balls. The weather does not get that hot in Seattle so the balls play fine here. Good Luck SSUSA on finding a solution to this problem.....

So who are you suppose to believe? I am confused. I myself have hit both bats and I really can't tell too much difference between the two. But I do not believe that they would just put a paint job on them... But you never know....

Discussion: 2017 Adidas Melee 2

I am just checking on something a team mate had said. Do feel the New Adidas Melee bat is a better bat overall than the Miken Black and the Dudley line? We have an argument going on the bats. I like the Melee more than the other too for the simple reason I believe it is hotter. What are your thoughtsa on that.
Thanks In Advance.

Discussion: Durable Bats

Now that Vegas is over, what bat would you say is the most durable with great performance. I was able to buy Dudley off of EBay at a real good price. Like the bat but I am not crazy about the way it swings. Not enough end load for me. I wish it had a little bit more end load. I tried one of my friends who had an Adidas but that was short on the end load department as well. He said he bought that bat from a snake oil salesman from North Carolina that was in Dalton a couple of weeks back.

So I know I have a few weeks of winter to look for something new. I heard that Adidas was coming out with a new bat with 4 players signatures on it. Said it was going to be called the 4 Horseman or something on that effect. The difference he said was the endload was going to be heavier. So I will wait and see. Like endloaded bats. I like that golf swing effect.

Heard great things about the AD Starr Nightmare from Bruce out of Georgia at the one tourney. I was going to call AD Starr and see what price it was. I went to their web site today and it said 139.99.. Anyone have any good info on that bat.

Thanks in advance. Just bored and wanted to rant about the bats.

Thanks.

Discussion: Vegas Bat Display

Is there a reason why you are not with Dudley or Adidas at the tournament since you are supposedly a licensed dealer with them. Did Miken pay for your sponsorship? Who paid for Dudley and Adidas. Are you allowed to sell Adidas or Dudley at this event? Just curious now. So if I want to buy a new Dudley can I buy one from you? Obviously you get a little better treatment than others. There is nothing wrong with that until someone figures it out. Good Luck will see you in Vegas. You can't miss me, I look like a bank robber.

I was wondering that myself. Only because you can't miss it. They kind of force you to buy from one spot or vendor when they come to tournaments. It makes you wonder on kick backs. I need to be able to buy bats at a discount so I will not complain. So if a bat vendor is telling you that one bat is the best now is he being truthful or is he just selling himself until he goes to another tournament and is trying to sell another brand. Just a curious thought. Great post Db 14.

To the SSUSA Staff. Just so I understand, not trying to be a nerd and ask again. So you will not be able to buy bats from a vendor while in Vegas participating in the tournament. So no one will be able to set and display their bats at all. No sales of bats. Correct? Or are you allowed to just sell at Big League Dreams. Sorry for the confusion on my part. Not well educated. Lived in the mountains like Jeremiah Johnson too long.

So your team uses them in the league you play in. What part of the country is that. Do they play the same as the ones in Vegas or does the area your league is in play a big part of their performance. Just asking. Would like to get some for league play next year if possible.
Thanks.

I must admit, this is funny and good input. You are right on when it comes to Senior Softball for a 40 year old.

You can get them off of EBay for about 85.00 a dozen. I said our team would wait until we get to Vegas.

So 17Black, it was definitely not worth trying to push through all the rain. Tourney should not have been played. We have all been there and the young guy inside still wants to play no matter what. That is where someone has to take charge and say hey, NO WAY.

I played in a tournament in Bend, Oregon last year and two of my players ran into each other going for a high fly ball deep to center field. Unfortunately they ran into each other and the one player lost an eye and the other player lost all of his teeth. Had to have some serious surgery to fix his now hillbilly looking teeth. It might sound funny but it is not. No insurance.

I now wear a mask playing third base. We all love the game but we have to think about after the game. I want to be able to relax and have a cold drink...

Discussion: Mikens NEW 12" Patriot senior bat

So let me understand Tri18, did you help with the designing of this bat? How many swings did you get on the bat that you worked on? If you are helping with the testing, what feedback do you have on durability? So we are supposed to buy the bat and wait and see if it is durable? That doesn't make any sence. If you are working on designing these bats I would think that you should know it's breaking point. Tell me why I should buy this bat and hope that it lasts. Just trying to figure out what bat I should buy. I am looking for a good end loaded bat. The Dudley's are the best bat out there but they swing light for me... I am looking for a 27 oz. bat with a big end load. Thanks in advance.

So is this part of the first 5000 produced? Also how much is the weight of the end loaded bats? Thanks in advance. I like a heavy end load.

From what I am taking from this conversation is the original batch was 5000 bats. I understand your question. If the bats that have sent out to a handful of people are from the first run which they are saying is 5000 bats then I would think the bats are from the original batch of 5000. So it should be from the first batch of bats.

Sorry about the abusive language on the last post. I just got out of hand. Won't happen again. I will try one of the other bats. I guess I just had my mind set on the Adidas. I will wait... Maybe try the Nightmare. Heard some good things about that one. What about the TPS?

First time user here on the board. Heard there was some good info on equipment here. Was looking to try the new Melee 2. I was thinking about the Nightmare from what I hear about durability. I don't want to start playing softball and spending a lot of money. Have quick hands but not real strong. Have seen some of the videos. I heard the Melee 2's are still not out yet for sale. Waiting on that one. Thanks
