Dec. 9, 2024 BANDITOS180 | Topic: Website comments Discussion: Bat Warmers Great points about the balls as well. SSUSA claims they care about the safety of the players and do not want altered bats and balls in the game. There have been MANY folks stating their concerns with these Baden balls and holding the irt and NOT being able to see, especially at dusk and night, yet NOTHING has been done. Someone is going to get seriousy injured and SSUSA does not seem to really care even though the players are addressing the issue. We actually played a team that kept all the old dirty balls to toss in at dust and night since the other teams were unable to see them. We brought this up to the ump, but it was a baden ball so nothing could be done, even though the players could not see the ball. Yet, they will take the time to discuss and vote on bat warmers because a team brought a propane heater to the fields. Yes, illegal, penalize those players and devices since that is definitely altering the bat. Why, because of a propane heater, would you ban warming boxes/sleeves, the is not fait to the players. We are the one's that are having to purchase the new bats every time they break due to the cold weather. In my opinion only, I see that a lot of this seems more for the money with bat sponsor and manufactures that the players being able to enjoy a game we love. The entire safety issues do not seem to be a concern since Baden balls are still be used even after numerous complaints regarding these and plying in the cold where the bats and balls are below the recommended compliance from the manufacture and yet we are required to either play and risk injury of broken equipment and SSUSA does not seem to have any concerns regarding this. Hopefully SSUSA will listen to the actual player concerns and grievances regarding these issues and make changes for the players that are actually on the fields and not sitting in offices working with the sponsors. Sorry if I am out of line, but it just seems like it one thing after another and SSUSA is NOT hearing the players concerns. |

Sept. 29, 2024 BANDITOS180 | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: When will Registration open for 2025 Season When will teams be able to register for the 2025 season and start putting their rosters together? When will players be able to renew their player registration since it states players are eligible until 10/31 and must renew by winter worlds? Just want to make sure we have time to renew our cards. One last question, If our major chip played all season on our AAA team, how many year(s) do they retain the major ranking, is it one or 2 years? |

Aug. 21, 2024 BANDITOS180 | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Question regarding Worlds Thank you Dave and put like that makes complete sense, I was over thinking this. Looking forward to Worlds and appreciate all you do for SSUSA. |
Aug. 21, 2024 BANDITOS180 | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Question regarding Worlds I understand with the run equalizer, but this limits the AAA teams to 1 hr and then out and removing 2 potential homeruns for those teams, doesn't seem fair, except maybe for the AA team. |
Aug. 21, 2024 BANDITOS180 | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Question regarding Worlds Looking at the tentative field assignments, looks like the 60-AAA and 55-AA are both playing at Shadow Rock and Hollywood Park, does this mean that the 55-AA teams will be mixed into the 60-AAA seeding games? If yes, what is the equalizer and HR count for those games? Just asking ahead of time and I know the brackets are not out, but odd that these are the 2 age groups playing at these 2 parks. |

May 31, 2024 BANDITOS180 | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Land of Enchantment Bracket Looking back at other tourneys and Championship is 2 and if is 3:30, this is the only tourney I see with the later times. |
May 31, 2024 BANDITOS180 | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Land of Enchantment Bracket Thank you for the info, was a difference link than previously used. Question with regards to Sunday game times. I noticed that the Championship game is at 3:30 and the if game at 5PM and that is if all is running on time. These are the latest times I have seen for championship Sunday and was wondering if there is any wiggle room. I know many teams traveling it may impact their flight times (some guys have times at 6 or 7) that were made weeks/months ago since these times are much later than normal. Just checking on this to see. |

April 25, 2024 BANDITOS180 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Los Altos Softball Complex Has anyone played on the new fields in New Mexico, Los Altos on 10100 Lomas Blvd? How are these fields? Looking at playing the tourney on June 7th to 9th and would like to know how they are. |
April 16, 2024 BANDITOS180 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: The new ball 100% agree with this post, this has been an issue with the Baden balls. Other complaints are they get extremely slippery when dirty. I have used antibacterial wipes to clean the balls and this has helped, but the not seeing the ball off the bat at dusk or night is a real safety issue and feel that this needs to be addressed for player safety. |
March 23, 2024 BANDITOS180 | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Bracket Updates When will SSUSA have the ability and/or staff to update the bracketing as the tourney evolves? We as coaches/players would love to be able to sign in or go to the bulletin board and look to see what the brackets look like. Most sanction are able to do this and it is extremely helpful for teams to know when they are playing and who without having to stand at a field and wait for the board to be updated or wait for text or calls. For the teams that start bracket on the day after seeding it would be nice to see what teams you are preparing for. I have see previous post for this a while back and still nothing has been updated or changed. SSUSA cost per tourney is one of the highest for any sanction and would be nice to maybe use some of the funds to get close to real time bracket update. Appreciate the updates after tourney, when they are updated, but that doesn't help during. |
