I was out of town this weekend and my team was going to play at the Bud fest in College station. At the same time of the SSUSA Texas Championship there was an GSA/USA seinors scheduled of Ceader Hill,Tx. If I am not Mistaken that is where most of the 40's teams were signed up for. Most of the teams donot like play SSUSA in Texas due to the tournament director. they will play a qualifier for worlds and then its GSA/USA or USSSA Lonstare tournaments.

Ozzy#1 I agree. I played on a AAA team listed as a AAA team in Texas ( but was a Majors by SSUSA rules. Now they are a AAA team after going 0-5 at WMC) we played by the Equalizer rules. we did beat some of the teams or had real close games due to the HR rules. The problem I see with this is it does not show the real aspects of the game. Now in our Tournaments we play like this. At the coin toss of the first game played the AAA gets to make a choice. Take the 5 runs and 3 hrs for them and the Majors still get there 6 or The AAA team gets the 6 hrs to make the teams equal in that aspects, that decision at that fist game goes for the whole tourney. No switching back and forth. It has made the games a lot more realistic to what they would be. the Major/Major plus team gets to hit like they would undre normal game situations. We still have close games due to the 5 run equalizer. But we do have blow outs as well. I am now on a Major's in Texas but a Major Plus by SSUSA rules due to a qualifying tourney that the Major team played true AAA and AA teams. Reclassed by run differential in that tourney. My team last year was one of the teams in that tourney.

DaveDowell, I am sorry and will be careful in the future. I tried to delete the post after I posted, but the is not a deleted or edit option I could find. Once again It will not happen again. I did send an email to the Info email as well.

Mulewhipper, as you can see, you have explained it one way and DaveDowell explains it another way. If the ball was held between the knees as you said, no question asked it is interference should have been called and the runner out.

DaveDowell, I have 26+ years in Boy Baseball and slowpitch softball, I have seen it stuck in Jersey gloves, the fence, even in an ice cooler before, but never bounce up someone's shorts. Had to be site to be seen.. Lol

this was a poorly ran tournament in all age brackets. Been playing ball for a long time and never seen something bbn like this. I see why SSUSA is not played down here mitch. Nobody wants to fill with this. Making SSUSA look bad.

Here is what the call should have been. When the pitcher got a glove on the ball he became a fielder. With that the runner would not have been out when the ball hit him. Now with the way it is explained here, there should have been a dead ball call with offensive interference once the base runner just sat there and held the ball between his legs. he now has not allowed the defense to make a 0lay on the ball. With less the 2 outs runner closest to home is out with 2 outs the runner interfering is out

Also, how does a team still get there bid when they just walk away from the tournament. show up check in play a little and the leave. Should have their bid stripped

40+ was just as bad. Added a pool game to give us 4 then made it a single game Elimination. His reason was a team dropped out and a team left on Saturday, so let's just screw the tournament off and make Sunday a single game elimination. never have I seen something like this. Now I know why 40's never make here in SSUSA.

Could someone from SSUSA let us players know if this tournament is going to make. The director seems to cancel just about ever 40+ tournament schedule in Texas
