chasbutter, yeah a clear mistake there. I don't have a problem with the umpire calling "time" after the action stopped and correct himself and call the batter out, but you clearly have the right to advance.

I don't like the fact that it can be called as long as its before the next play, I can see where an ump admits he made a mistake and corrects himself, but if that is not the case it should be played out as it happened

Agree, no play at first. As far as safety goes, the 1st baseman should not be set u on the bag if there is not a throw being made, he should abandoned the bag as soon as he realizes there will bot be a throw

I would have to say the the infield fly rule cannot be applied equally across all levels of play, so some "judgement" must be exercised by the umpire. EX: A fly ball between the catcher and the pitcher for the younger, sub 40 guys, is not the same as for the 60+ guys. So it cannot be simply based on the trajectory of the ball , imo.

Discussion: Pure - Fast Eddy

Some discussion going on about whether the Fast Eddie is just and Integrity repaint. I am hearing a lot of mixed reviews, some say hot really quick, some say takes a 100+ swings. IMO, I am not buying one until they have proven longevity. I doubt they outperform any of the other SR bats by that much if at all.

Discussion: Demarini Naughtalai balanced & Onyx BAMA mid load...

Okay, finally got my 2021 Naughtalai in and a chance to BP it. Does feel good right out of the wrapper and agree that it is pretty much game ready after very few swings. Nine is a 27oz balanced. IMO, it feels light a mid-load when you pick it up and swings like a mid-load/end-load. I don't usually like balanced bats but I can/will make an exception for this bat because I get the same performance as my end-loads. Definitely has a spot in my bag as a light BP and back-up gamer.

Discussion: Seem separation....

Tri18 - went to take photo's this weekend but the separation is so light is doesn't want to show up in the pic. So I didn't want to take up any of your time. It is a good 10-12" long, but after watching Dave V's video on this issue I am not too worried about it right now. Just going to consider it game ready and keep it in the bag. If it becomes more prevalent or an issue I will take photo's and send them to you just to let you know. Thanks

Exactly why the HOT STOVE consequence should be in effect to gain immediate compliance. You won't have to kick out many players or make many teams forfeit before word spreads. It is a privilege to be able to play this game, not a right. That organization could have easily postponed the event, how many people would have been pissed off then? Selfishness is a foolish character trait.

It's sad to hear so many people complain when everything was shut down, begging to get back out and play. Then things start opening up and the same people start whining about partaking in very simple and easy steps to help keep things open. Although I am not playing out there in any of the World events, it sounds like the organizers are trying to do their best to put/keep safety precautions in place. Strictly enforce the rules immediately with ejections and forfeits and teams/spectators will quickly fall in line, there is a lot of out of pocket expenses on the players end that I'm sure they don't want to waste over a simple mask rule. There is an extra step that can be taken to help enforce the rules, hire Off Duty Law Enforcement to patrol the area and enforce the rule after you've given said player/spectator a warning and a chance to comply....it doesn't cost that much to hire them.

HAHA, tell us how you really feel. Sad that whoever is responsible for maintaining those fields is failing at their job, especially if you guys were playing a major tourny there
