| July 26, 2010 GCH | Topic: Product review Discussion: Shoes Mizuno 9-spike blast I purchased some Boombah Torfs about a year ago and the sole started to seperate from the shoe. It was a a defect in matrial and mabey workmanship and I was told to just buy the newer modle that they were better. They had no intrest in backing up thier product and all I can say is buyer be ware. |
| Jan. 20, 2010 GCH | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: One of the umpires at Menifee The umpire you are talking about is John and I complemented Vince on John and asked if he had done a senior tournament before and Vince said no. What this said to me is that he had done the homework necessary to know the senior rules. He was in position for each call he made. We were fortunate to draw two great umpires in this tournament - Les and John. However you ended up at this tournament it was a fare contest due to these umpires. |
| Oct. 28, 2009 GCH | Topic: Associations Discussion: LVSSA strikes again In 2008 we went to the fall championship for LVSSA and and encountered a team that should not have been in our division. I asked the tournament director how they got in to our division he said "they told me what thier rating was". I have to assume that he was eaither incompetant or did not care. I will never return to another LVSSA tournament as a player or manager. At least with SSUSA they make effort to fairly rate teams. |

It is nice to have a qualifer in Southern California but I think the persistant rumors of the tournaments cancellation will hurt attendance at this tournament. |
