Discussion: Has Anyone Else Had Problems With The Reebok ME'LEE Legend Senior Softball Bat Because Mine Cracked After 45 Hits Any Durability Problems?

Pitcherman and Omar K, well stated. The reps were running from tournament to tournament touting how durable this bat is and taking orders. Now that they are breaking at an alarming rate, we the consumers, are supposed to be quiet and take it on the chin. The " Reebok Rep" that I bought my bat from has somehow nothing to do with the replacement, instead I had to send mine to the East Coast distributor in Mass. and it has been 4 weeks!

What is this a government conspiracy we are not allowed to talk about?? Truth is, they are breaking and Reebok is not acting swiftly to replace defective bats.

My 28EL Reebok broke in 60 swings in 60-70 degree weather. It came from Hollis/Dorrell.

Gary19, I'm sure they could take some pop away and make them more durable. All you need is 301 feet on the fields I play on, 350-400 doesn't count for anything more.

Gary19, I don't think the Reebok has been tested enough to get a real feel for it's durability yet. Hopefully, mine and the other failures on here were just lemons.

I don't count, but I knew that I had hit 2 buckets of 20 balls one week and noticed the bat was cracked after the first bucket the following week. I have had 3 Red Ultra's break in the past year and a half with not many swings on them, probably a few hundred swings a piece. I have 2 MM Senior Combats that are over a year old and have hundreds of swings on them and still going strong.

Mine broke after 60 swings. Shipped it to the Reebok Rep for evaluation. I'm still awaiting word. Hopefully they will do the right thing.

I agree, there will be some duds in every batch. I am not on here to badmouth the bat, just to share my experience and see if anyone else had like results. I don't see why anyone should have a problem with that. It did hit well. I was told by some good friends how durable the bat is and I believe them. It is just my luck to get a dud. I have been in contact with the Reebok reps in my area and am awaiting word on my bat.

I was told to ship my broken Reebok to the east coast distributor, Jim Byme in Mass. Have not heard anything yet.

I have 2 Combat MM's that are a year old with plenty of swings on them, in the same time period I have broke 2 Ultra's and 1 Reebok with hardly any swings. Makes me wonder, but I will say I have had Combat MM's that have not lasted either. I wish they could take some of the pop away for more durability. The problem is they know we will keep buying more until something better comes along.

Hombre, I had the same experience with my original Ultra II. I agree, I think Miken started producing bats with less durability.

Same balls 44-375 Trump Stote that are stored in my house at room temp.
Bat was in Pyro-Flite bat warmer from the time I left my house and at all times at field. Bat is stored in my house.

Noticed bat was cracked. Bat was rotated after every swing.

Discussion: Rotator cuff

JTW12, I had rotator cuff surgery in July of 2004. I had dislocated my shoulder and had a significant tear of the rotator cuff. About 4-6 weeks after the operation the pain went away and I started the rehabilatation process. I was going to rehab 2-3 times a week for about 2 months. The rehab specialist was the best and pushed me hard. I took some batting practice in November 2004 with no pain, but did not start playing again until late spring of 2005. I usually play ss but moved to 2nd until I was sure my arm was good. By the summer of 2005 I was back at ss and my arm still feels fine. It's probably 90% of what it was, don't quite have the same velocity, but at 52, I'm thankful to be playing. Rehab properly and you will be rewarded. Good Luck!
