That settles it. I'm getting off "THE JUICE" and signing up with Joe Lecak. Then maybe Mike will stop walking me. Probably going to kill my On Base Percentage though..................

You're right Dave, That is funny,
So. Cal State hasn't even been posted yet last I checked.
I know one result. In a shocking upset the Core did NOT win the 55 Major Plus division.

Z, First let me apologize for even bringing up your team in the 1st place as you had no bearing on the topic. Just one more example of why you should never post when you are angry.
As for you beating us it was actually twice. You put a beat down on us in Bullhead although I don't think either of us had our full teams there.
IMO you guys were the best team we faced all season followed by D&K. We were looking forward to another shot at you guys but I suppose now that's not going to happen. If it does we will have to spot you runs. Classic.
Hopefully you guys can get healthy and fill your 2 chip slots because if you do you are legitimate contenders to win the Masters.

They were there yesterday. At this point makes no difference. I'm only worried about The Core. Hope Rawlings or another west coast team wins Masters.

I am not surprised Rawlings isn't going. After seeing The Core and D&K, two teams they have handled this season get bumped they probably decided it wasn't worth the risk. They will just stay and play SCSSA and they show up in Vegas for The Masters as a Major team. Smart move IMO. Why risk it.
No clue as to why some teams get bumped and others don't Z. It';s a mystery.

That's what we are thinking Dave. They played Vegas and won it and now they are laying low. Surprised to see they are playing Sacramento. Be interesting to see what happens if they win and get bumped. Who plays the National Championship game?

Thanks for the info Benji although I'm aware of most of it. Our average age is around 59 and good luck to you and JK. Hopefully we get a chance to play against you guys. The Core always wants to play the best.

Not sure what the SSUSA rule may be but in NSA if the ball hits an offensive teams bat the ball is dead, the runner closest to home is out. Not a good idea to leave the bat in the middle of the action.

Thanks Mango,
I have played against you guys and the other M+ teams in the past and have never had a problem with anyone. We are all out there to have a good time and I will continue to do so. We will give it our best shot and If we go to the middle of the pack in 55 M+ and not the cellar I would be ecstatic. We are trying to find enough guys to go to Western Nationals to get the clock started on our appeal. I won't make it due to work but look forward to meeting you at the next one.

Benji,
At least we agree on one thing. You never will understand. You play on the a team that wins virtually every tournament it enters, have plenty of funding and when somebody's performance isn't up to snuff you simply replace him with a better or younger guy. We are a AAA team already playing up a division and we are not interested in replacing anyone to become a MAJOR PLUS TEAM. We are happy as we are, knowing that if we play well we can compete. That's all most teams want. Entering tournament after tournament after tournament to go 0-5 knowing not only can't you win but cannot even compete isn't that appealing to most. Also sucks knowing we can't chase the Triple Crown nor win Masters. SSUSA pretty much screwed our 2017 season.
Also if winning isn't important why do teams such as Sommerville move up to 55's? Why not stay in 50's and play the best such as your JK team instead of dominating in the 55's.
On another note, we aren't disbanding. We will play our 3 tournaments as a M+ team in order to get re-rated. As bad as it is going to be we want to play and as SSUSA has a Monopoly we have no other choice.
My hope is that one of the SSUSA has to sit and watch out games, which by the way hasn't happened yet, so they can see just how poorly their system of rating teams is.

Sounds like a Great time Marv. Sure beats the heck out of our weekend. We, (The Core 55M) played in the SSUSA Southern California Championships event in Riverside. Weather was hot and humid, fields were terrible, worst BLD complex I have ever seen. The bright side was we won the tournament but then more bad news, SSUSA bumped us to Major Plus. Not sure if it was the fact we hit 4 home runs THE ENTIRE TOURNAMENT or that we lost one game 8-7 that was the deciding factor. Also worth noting was the two best 55 Major teams in So Cal didn’t attend. No, it’s SSUSA so we will never know for sure. Sad thing is that we had already entered Western Nationals and were planning on playing Rocky Mountain and The World Masters but not now. Why spend thousands of dollars to attend tournaments when you have absolutely no chance of competing. To get you’re a$$ handed to you by the likes of Sommerville? I think not.
This puts an end to a good team and leaves many of our players with no place to play. In hind sight I sure wish we had chosen to play in your Tournament and not supported SSUSA. Live and Learn.

Dave,
Since you know my identity does this mean every stupid thing I post can and will be used against me at the next tournament?
If so I'm thinking about changing my identity.

You got that right Dave but we are also old and make bad decisions so nobody thought that far ahead. We played poorly enough to tank a few but teams kept letting us win. Now I realize why! Oh well it's all good and we will lace them up again in Vegas. BTW: You are killing me.

We played in Mesquite and we DID NOT use the Microcell and were using the Stote. Had we known that we could use the Microcell we most certainly would have as we used it at TOC and really liked the ball.

Staff, thanks for the response but it doesn't fly as far as I am concerned. We earned the right to not be eliminated by winning and not losing. There was no reward. Any team would much rather bounce back and forth between fields than chase down balls 400 feet at the fence. As for a temporary fence there are types of fences that don't require the drilling of holes. I also realize that like a lot of bad decisions SSUSA makes it it unlikely to change soon. You guys are pretty stubborn and resistant to change. Happens when you get old.
Guess it doesn't matter, we will keep coming because we Kline to play ball.

Played in the Spring Worlds in Mesquite. Great Tournament. Good competition and for the most part weather was outstanding. Congratulations to D&K on winning the 55 Major. You guys are an excellent team.
I do have a question for SSUSA though. Why would you put the 55 & 60 Major winners bracket final games on the baseball field and not the two softball fields? It seems you would reward teams for winning and not punish them by making them play on the worst field possible. If we had lost I would have no problem having to play there. At the very least put up a temporary fence. Playing important games on that field just makes no sense.

Hey Dave,
NSA went from 4 ball 3 strike to 1-1 and fair only after 2 strikes a couple years back as well. Speeds up the game but cannot say I'm a big fan.
