I was told no water in the dugout because each dugout at the top of the steps had a water fountain, water was pretty cool on the 4 different fields we played on. You had to ask but the water was available, guess having played there before we knew about fountains.

What a mess, word is the 50-55 will play this weekend but in Sequin, tx. The re-schedule has been re-scheduled due to calls to Sacramento. 60's and up will play next weekend San Marcos, I think. Your going to need a scorecard with a eraser to keep up with this tournament. Haven't see anything official on any website.

Gill, check under the league tab above for southwest region and you will see a couple of numbers to contact. Rocky mountain classic in Aurora, Colorado this weekend, most of their tournament teams will be there.

NYGNYY,Our 40 division uses senior bats but our over 40 co-ed doesn't. Our guys have voted any ball(batted) hitting the screen is a out no matter the count.

Discussion: Using screen for pitcher

Guys, our 40 division(SASSL) has voted to start using a screen(pitcher) when we start play in our fall session in early September, does anyone have a set of rules that they are currently using in league play, so we don't have re-created a whole new set. Thanks for your input in advance.c AN

Size of tournament and size of their brackets doesn't match sometimes, every few teams in some of Western national age brackets. Add Reno and worlds then many they get some attend.

Being eligible and getting move aren't the same. I know of teams that have won a number of tournaments in a row and don't get moved up. Depends on the size of brackets, runs won by and who you know.

Sorry, don't know how I missed that one, plus can't believe they were re-rated. That is a really good team and fun to play. CenTex will miss playing them in Denver.

Discussion: Biggest league

We(San Antonio senior softball league, SASSL) will be having our 30th Anniversary next year, Mr. Bill Altman started our league in 1987 with four teams. We currently have 46 teams in 7 Divisions and over 600 senior players. We have always claimed to be the largest senior league in the United States and were wondering if there was any larger groups in one city in the US. Bill is still playing at the age of 85+. We have added 10 teams this year including a over 40 co-ed division, so senior ball is not dying in Texas.

Anyone who thinks Sac town is on the same footing as Aurora is from California. Better fields, cheaper flights and a lot more to do. total team attending from other then California states would double if held in Colorado and no I don't live there. Just easier to get to from Texas, Okla. Kansas.etc. But this is beating a dead horse to death, won't change any time soon.

#3- runner is safe no tags allowed once he has crossed commitment line. Dead ball once tag was made anything that happen as results of tag doesn't count.

Curty, player is re-entering the game legally not as a courtesy runner so should be good. Both runner are out due to passing commitment line, should be DP.
