Discussion: 1.20?

Been off for a year recuperating from injuries. Are the senior bats labeled 1.20 still legal? Or do they have to stamped 1.21. Thanks.

I hope the bat is as good as your report. I swing a 28oz balanced, then drop to a 26oz end load.

If anyone from Chicago Prime sees this post: I may be looking for a team in 2011. I played with the STL Sting (batted 3rd/second base). If interested, send me an email: 50softball@gmail.com . Thanks

I have seen some people refer to a Miken Ultra 2 Advanced? Is that a different Ultra II that you can currently buy?

Jolly52: Thanks for the info. I don't think we are planning on playing in any more qualifiers so it should not be an isssue.

Thanks for the comments #6. And good luck to you as well! Too bad you are older. Sounds like it would be fun to play you.

Corky: Thanks for your comments. We will likely do the same thing next year. It just makes us mad that they re-rate teams in the middle of a season. Doesn't seem fair.

Dbax: I will try to keep this civil. Who are you to tell us to "suck it up"? You really know nothing about our team or situation. You know nothing about the tournaments we played in, the scores or anything. We will likely play in the necessary tournaments as a Major team to see what happens, but we will do it at tournaments closer to home. It will cost us a lot of money to go to Phoenix, and with no sponsor, not everyone is willing to put out that kind of money to play Major. If you are willing to sponsor us we will be glad to oblige and go. In the meantime, I think you should reserve such comments for times when you know all the facts.

We understand how the systems works to get re-rated. Our beef is that when we inquired why we were moved up and asked what the process was, we were flat out lied to. And we have the proof. Right now we just don't feel like playing their games.

pushin60: Thanks for the comments. It seems they are trying to get more teams into the Major Division, but why? What is wrong with having a really good AAA Division? Anyway, we have played 2 major teams so far this year. We played one in Quad Cities and lost to them 3 times. We played another Major team last weekend in a State tourney, and lost to them twice.

Sorry for my rather inflammatory comments. No disrespect intended toward anyone. We just have not been able to get a good answer from any SSUSA officials on why were moved to Major.

pete: The fact that we won a "big" tourney is questionable. We won the AAA Division at the Midwest tourney in Chicago. There were only 4 AAA teams, and 2 of them we had played earlier in the year at another tournament. We won the title game by ONE run. We won an earlier tournament in Indy and also won the title game by ONE run. In the two tournaments, we have played only 4 different AAA teams! In all games, we never hit more than 3 home runs in a game, and only did it twice. How does this make us a Major team? There are a lot of AAA teams from other parts of the country that we have never played. So by beating 4 AAA teams in 2 tournaments we are automatically better than all of them? Moving us to Major is a joke, which is why we are not going to Phoenix to play Major. We are pretty sure the team we beat in the finals is behind this.

Thanks grumpy55. I hope so. This mid-season move to Major really messed up our plans. We have pretty much canned going to Phoenix and will likely go to Florida in February if they let us plan AAA.
