There was no collision. She stepped on the bag which caused her to trip. When she hit the ground the ball came out of her glove.

Today in Chattanooga at an ISSA tournament. A ground ball is hit to the first baseman. It is fielded cleanly and now they are racing to the bag to beat the runner.
The first baseman beats the runner to the base and steps on the bag. They then stumble and hit the ground hard causing them to drop the ball. Umpire ruled safe. Is this correct?

The question everyone wants answered. What was the reason for not bumping up the Eastern and Western winners before the Nationals? Why wait?

Hey Pizzaboy, stop whining. The whole argument is that they should have been moved up before the Eastern Nationals. No one disagrees with that. Are you whining so much because they have beaten your team all year long?

It doesnít matter what their record was. It makes no sense to bump a team after they win the Western or Eastern Nationals. The whole point of these two tournaments was to give a team a chance at winning the Triple Crown, which was a great idea for SSUSA. By doing this, they screwed up their idea. Thereís no incentive to play in those tournaments anymore.
