It should be in Aurora, where it should be every year.

Actually early morning games will probably be in the 70’s. Teams playing in the late afternoon will get the excessive temps.

Discussion: Catchers will wear a mask

First off I made no references to playing or not playing. I responded to a post that said that wearing a mask does not really do anything in the way of prevention. Every doctor and scientist says it does, now that restrictions have been lifted and idiots are no longer social distancing.
SSUSA is trying to play a tournament safely and within CDC guidelines, and someone is complaining that the catcher needs to wear a mask. Unbelievable.

White House health advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci said he has “no doubt” that Americans who aren’t wearing face masks, especially in large crowds, are increasing the risk of spreading the coronavirus.
“When you have crowds of people together and you have the lack of wearing a mask that increases the risk of there being transmissibility. I have no doubt about that,” he said Friday on CNBC’s “Halftime Report.”

Wood you are referring to a quote several months ago.

That is not true. From Fox10 news yesterday......

FOX 10 asked the Arizona Public Health Association if a return to lockdown is possible since cases have been increasing.

"The reason for the increased number of cases is not because of the increased testing," said AZPHA director Will Humble. "It’s because there’s more community spread."

With nearly 1500 new cases overnight, Humble says people started acted differently once the stay-at-home order expired on May 15.

"This is a phenomena that’s happening in Arizona," said Humble. "The stay-at-home order lifted and people’s behavior changed on a dime and went back to ... pre-pandemic behavior."

Gloves really don’t do anything. If you touch your face while wearing gloves, it’s the same as the bare hand.

That’s an ignorant statement. Being afraid has nothing to do with it. It’s common sense.

Webbie I totally agree with you. Everyone wants to play, and I thank SSUSA for trying to come up with a plan. But I think it’s impractical. It will not work. Social distancing in the dugout??? And wearing gloves does not do anything. The virus is still on the gloves just like it would be on the hands. I will wait for this to calm down. Softball is not that important right now.
