Batter his a ground ball and defense makes a bad throw and ball goes into batting teams dugout. Umpire awards extra bases to all runners. Why should the offense be rewarded for leaving their gates open? Umpire said it made no difference which teams gates are left open. If that’s the case, I suggest keeping your gates open when at bat. I also suggest making a rule against it.
