Discussion: A few questions about a tourney I was in over the weekend.

The tournament curtiss may be talking about is the Missouri Senior games. We have a 50 Caliber (50 major team) and a 50 Caliber + (55 major team). There were 3 (50 teams) and 3 (55 teams). The entire tournament was played as a round robin with each of the 6 teams playing 5 games. When the 50's played against the 55's the games did not count in the actual tournament standings but were played to make sure every team played 5 games.

Is this the tournament you are talking about curtiss?

It is posted in the ratings that they are now major, not a rumor. I remember playing them years ago in the 40 & older tournaments but have not ran into them for over 10 years. Were always a good group of guys.

Congratulations to Steve McKinlay for having a vision and making it happen! Anybody who has ever had an idea and then tried to bring it to market will realize this huge accomplishment of Steve's.

A senior bat with a year warranty, a huge sweet spot and hot is now in production soon be ready for sale.

Made in the U.S.A.

thanks titanhd, I had looked at that and saw they were not on it. They usually play in that one and was asking if they were going to enter it yet.

softball4b states it pretty well.

the wood, this comment you made

I did think that it was odd for you to just 'happen to be in the area' when you toured the SC factory.

is why I said what I did, perhaps I was wrong in what you meant when you put it that way.

I re-read your posts in this thread. Sugar coat it as you wish, your insinuations are very obvious.

the wood, I am not sure what your motive is by calling surf88 a liar like you are. You may try to sugarcoat your words, but that is exactly what you are doing. People called me a liar on here as well when I told people that I have been to the factory, which I have.

taits on the other hand is simply a chronic negative poster as evidenced in his many posts of reading things into something that isn't there on most other subjects he responds to.

Both you and taits are well aware of the history/circumstances that lead to today with Steve. Yet in almost every post about this you bring up the complete history of the progression of the bat, although you both are very aware it has little to do with Steve and the current product.

Everyone knows surf88 on here, ask yourself what he has to gain versus what he has to lose by talking about the bat. Why in the world do you think he would be talking about this unless he truly believed it was about to happen?

I speak with Steve a couple of times a week and it appears to me that something pretty special is about to come out. Instead of sticking your neck out and calling people liars, wait a little while and see.

If things would fall completely apart, I would be the first to say I am wrong, I would bet surf88 would do the same...to taits and the wood, will you?

Oh I know it is not a continuous double play.

I would think that you can have a double play. Fly ball to an infielder runner thinks it is going through, fielder who caught the ball tags him. Do not need to appeal, he is out for being tagged off of the base. Unless you would be saying that the tag is an appeal play.

This is also where the 4th out rule can happen. The catch is the 2nd out, the appeal to first base is the 3rd out. They could then appeal the runner at third to keep the run from scoring and if that runner is called out for leaving too soon, it is the 4th out of the inning.
