Thanks for posting the results! If any "stats" guys that were there would post the game by game score and won/loss records for the 55 major and 60 major brackets it would be appreciated. Highlights? Great plays? Rallies?

I normally take a picture of the brackets on my phone before sending them back, but didn't do that this time (brain cramp).

Here are some of my recollections from the weekend-

60 Major... Hannington's beat Golden Vipers by 1 in the championship to force an "if" game. Golden Vipers took the "if" game with a 1 run victory of their own. High Street Bucs 60s finished 3rd.

55/60 Platinum- Florida Auto Shade 55s went undefeated beating Levin Financial 55s in the winner's final (walk off in the 8th inning) and then again 12-8 (?) in the championship game. Six-Pak from Kentucky finished 3rd.

60 Major Plus- Hollis and Doc's were included in the 55/60 Platinum division. They met in the 4th place game of that bracket on Sunday morning. Hollis won that game, but a combination of heat, humidity and injuries resulted in them dropping out of the tournament at that point.

50/55 Platinum- Team 1 / Miken played well this weekend and beat Team Ohio in the winner's final and again in the championship game. Good Times got off to a slow start in the tournament, but battled back and finished 3rd.

The 325' fences at N. Collier Regional Park make for an interesting game, particularly at the M / M+ level.

I've worked at this tournament for 5 or 6 yrs now and am always impressed by the high level of sportsmanship and fellowship that exists. Thank you all for setting the example for the players that follow you.

Tim Thanks

Congrats to Team Ohio from the guys at CPOA Cleveland/Northern Ohio Printing in 50 Major.

Tri18 nice to meet you in person finally after years of on-line or phone calls.

I think the record heat daily (which sounds weird for south Florida) had some affect on the balls? I did not see as many homers overall as in past years. I agree the 325 fences are a great equalizer though.

I think I "sweated" out a few bottles of Gatorade per game????

17,
Good to meet you too! You bring up a great point about this event. It may be a 180 difference between Winter Nationals in Florida and the Nationals is Vegas. 325' fences change a lot of things and the ball used here too. Additionally, we had a bit hotter than normal temps which makes a difference in ball flight. Home runs were definitely down and "small ball" and defense really had to be focused on to win here. Both venues/tournaments are always well run and great to play in but have to be strategized a little differently.
I think that 50 Major/Major Plus bracket was loaded with good teams and pretty much anyone could beat anyone on a given day. It was a great event and great seeing everyone out there.
