Sad news from Indy...Phil Grimpe
Phil Grimpe (70) residing in Noblesville, near Indianapolis passed away on Friday, Dec 2 after a long running bout with cancer. Please keep his wife, Pat, and the rest of his family in your thoughts and prayers. I'll miss the big fella. Mel

Mel, thanks. I have been out of town and had not heard this. I looked up the link to his obituary if anyone wants it. http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/indystar/obituary.aspx?n=phillip-arthur-grimpe&pid=182972834&fhid=11921 Phil started playing 45s at Metro with Coachie right after he moved here and was on our senior team for a while. He also mowed grass for Coachie at the park. I am glad to see that you are still beating the odds and always look forward to seeing you.

Nancy, The odds are the only thing I may be beating. Phil and I are the same age and both played with Weaver's Landscaping when we were over 55. He took his power hitting and moved up after a couple of years with us. See you in the spring. Mel
