Dec. 5, 2019 Oldplayer5 Men's 75 8 posts | Dudley Senior Bat Reliability Im an average sized 72 year old Senior Softball player (Florida HalfCentury Player) Purchased a 2019 Dudley Lightning Legend HOTW 12" 2 PC SSUSA Slowpitch Softball Bat DLSR122 DLSR122-34/26 I’ve been breaking in for game use. Only person using it put about 200 swings on it and it cracked! Double spiral crack and one straight line, hated to see it! Question is there anyone that can suggest a solution. I understand some reps have been able to get replacements |
Dec. 6, 2019 swing for the fences Men's 50 1224 posts | those bats were breaking within a few swings sometimes with 55 major plus players... if you felt it took 200 swings to get it ready and it didn't feel ready after 50 swings there is something wrong.. I understand those are hot out of the wrapper with crappy durability.. They were hot enough for some to say they would just use them when they needed a homerun and no Breaking them in period.. Anyway, believe you need to go with a different bat! |
Dec. 7, 2019 AKA: Southpaw 179 posts | I think I must be the only exception to everyone else's reporting. I bought my dudley early this year and it did not start breaking in until I had over 200 swings on it. I am just a base hitter with an occasional longer hit but when the bat opened up after 300 swings I started experiencing a few more. There are over 700 swings on it now and it feels really good. |
Dec. 8, 2019 G MAN Men's 55 35 posts | aka southpaw- My son who is 10 can break this bat on 10 swings. The bat was a disaster from the very beginning and Dudley played the wait and see game at everyone expense . Go get yourself a new miken or suncoast bat as they are the bats to own right now ! |
Dec. 8, 2019 AKA: Southpaw 179 posts | There is nothing wrong with being the exception to the rule. I will stay with it as long as it works. Your son probably swings a lot harder than me; I am only 6'2, 230. |
