June 30 coop3636 514 posts | SSUSA three questions 1. We only have 4 teams in the 60 AAA division. Will it be changed to just Sat and Sun? There is no reason to have to play 3 days for a 4 team tournament. (it saves guys a day of vacation and a day of hotel expense) 2. When will you be able to tell us which fields we will be playing at? 3. When will the brackets be out? Just curious, I know this isn't the only tournament you have to take care of, it is just the next one we are playing. Thanks Coop3636 (TN Connection 60 AAA) |

All are fair questions since, as you mentioned, the Southern's are "next up" in the batting order after we ship the Northeast administration package to Syracuse later today ... Here are the answers ... • You are playing in a 6-team seeding group comprised of the four 60-AAA's and two 65-AAA's prior to splitting on Saturday for their respective brackets ... You are mistaken on this being a four-team tournament ... This is a 28-team event sharing one (fully utilized) facility ... • That facility is the Cane Ridge Park Softball Complex in Antioch, TN ... Games (30 of them) will go from 8:00 AM thru 6:30 PM start times on Friday, from 8:00 AM thru 8:00 PM on Saturday (36) and from 8:00 AM thru 3:30 PM on Sunday (24) ... • I'm hopeful that the DRAFT game schedules and brackets will publish here by end of day tomorrow (Thursday) ... Good luck everyone! |
June 30 coop3636 514 posts | Hey Dave Thanks for the response Just to be clear, Cane ridge is the only complex being used, not Franklin? I want to confirm hotel reservations. Thanks Coop3636 |
June 30 DaveDowell Men's 70 4321 posts | Yes, coop ... Cane Ridge (only) this time around ... Franklin reservation was relinquished yesterday when we determined that the "make it fit" exercise in Antioch would (barely) work ... Play/travel safely and good luck! ... |
