Original Miken Ultra gamer series
I new to the SSUSA world and only played in one tournament last year. I bought the miken ultra (grey) and now seeing that it's not legal to use, just curious why did it become illegal since i just wasted my money.

Mackten ... The Original Miken Ultra (aka, Miken Ultra I) bat has been an illegal bat for over 20 years, going back to 2002 or so ... The bat was "too hot" and was outlawed by all softball associations at the time ... Shortly thereafter (2003) Miken came out with their Ultra II, which by most objective analysts, was a far and away favorite and dominated the market-share until other manufacturers made in-roads of their own later ... If you have an actual Original Miken Ultra from that era, it's a collector's item ... The last time I saw one in a tournament, I advised the owner to go buy the best auto-wax he could find, shine that thing up and put it in a plastic bat display box and hang it on his wall ... That bat truly revolutionized the offense side of senior slow pitch softball and is a legitimate rarity today ...

Very few people still have one of those bats in good or excellent condition ... I'm envious!

I am not sure you are talking about the same bat. Miken Ultra Gamer Series 14" Maxload Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat: MUL21S New bat.

Could be, Mike ... He mentioned "Gamer" in the title, but not in the text ... If someone told him it was illegal, it had to be either [1] it is an Original Miken Ultra or [2] the umpire and/or Director erred ... The 14" Maxload Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat is certainly legal ...

Yeah that's the one i have softball4b, i was on this site and looked at the bat policy and assume under bats not legal it was talking about the current Miken Ultra because it says grey. I believe this is the 2021 model, just got confused because of the color. I have the Miken Ultra gamer series grey in color

Macten ... Your bat is good to go as a 2021 version ... It's the "more senior" guys like softball4b and me whose ears perk up when the Original Miken Ultra is mentioned! ... Have fun wit it!
