Discussion: Post major plus tournament schedules

We are a new team in the midwest called Black & Blue. We will be playing 55 Major Plus. Please post your schedule here so we can all determine how well represented Major Plus will be especially for the Nationals. Here are the tournaments we plan to attend:

5/1,2--Brickyard Invitational (Indianapolis)

7/16,17,18--SPA National (Dalton)

7/30,31,8/1--ISA World (Gallatin)

8/6,7,8--SSUSA Eastern Campionships (Raleigh)

8/27, 28, 29--LVSSA National (Vegas)

10/22, 23, 24--SSUSA World (Phoenix)

We are considering attending another tournament in June to which we can drive with Indiana as a center point. Any suggestions?
Do any of these "nationals" and "worlds" have qualifiers?

If not, wouldn't they then be just another tournament?
bob50--june 4-6. SPA - south bend qualifier for SPA worlds.
kbi. South Bend is AAA and below.
Hardly any teams at the Major-plus level. How many teams do you think will be in these tournaments? 3? 4? With border rules, 5 runs an inning, a limit on the homeruns, combining Major-plus and Major is the way to go!
Jawood,
We realize at the MP level that there are a limited number of teams available for each tournament. That is one reason that most of our tournaments are Nationals/Worlds. It is our hope that we will have the opportunity to measure our strength as a team against other MP teams. The purpose of my original post was to encourage other MP teams to post their schedules likewise so we can all see which teams are going where. Personally I would like to see Major and Major Plus combine. Time will tell what the Associations decide in that regard.

Dirty,
We regard to your post I have been on the message board long enought to know that you know the answer to your own question. Why don't you write what is really on your mind.
Anytime I see a Major-plus issue I find it difficult not to get on my soap box. I find it so ridiculous. Good luck with your tournaments!
I guess no one else on a 55 Major Plus team cares enough about competition at this level to cooperate and post their schedule.
Bob, I think I know the answer to my first question. No.

But I really don't to my second. Without any qualifiers to get there it is just another tournament. Can anyone just call their tourney a "national"?

All that is on my mind is the excessive use of "national" and the gullible guys who will buy into it.
Bob:
The Nighthawks are a 55 M+ team out of Southern CA. We will be in Reno in June, LVSSA World August 27-29 in Las Vegas, SSUSA World in Phoenix. We play monthly, mostly in SSUSA qualifiers in our area to keep travel costs down. Palm Springs this weekend. What past teams do your guys come from?

Don,
We look forward to seeing you in Vegas and Phoenix. Our team is comprised of former players from Travelodge, Windy City and Geckle. Mostly former Travelodge players.
Bob:
I thought I recognized that Bob 50 handle. We'll have our hands full as usual with your crew, especially if your adding from Windy City and Geckle. There are three other active 55 M+ teams in CA who will likely be at the two nationals you mentioned. Not sure about Ruth's 55's, but they will likely turn up as well. Good luck this season!

Bob,

I will be holding the 10,000 Lakes Classic, the Minnesota SSWC Qualifier, on June 12-13 in Rochester, MN. Teams that will be present that could be possible opponents include Roberts Const, WI (55 Major Plus); Wisconsin Masters, WI (55 Major); Minnesota Masters 55's, MN (55 Major); Kevitt / Ploog Const, MN (50 Major Plus); Long Haul Trucking / Ancell, MN (50 Major); and the MN Merchants (a new 50+ team that will be rated Major or Major Plus).

The approximate driving time from Indianapolis to Rochester is nine hours. If this interests you look me up at the Brickyard Invitational this coming weekend. I will be in Indianapolis helping conduct this tournament.
