Do solar bat warmers work??
Hard to think about the cold right now. I am in Arizona on a family visit and it seems to be 300 degrees outside. My friend has a wood box with a plex-glass to keep the bats warm in the sun. He thinks this works to help keep the bats from cracking. Is this true or is he just cracked??

QUESTION: if the bat is nice and cozy when you go to bat, AND THE BALL HAS BEEN in 30 deg weather, what happens ? seems to me that the ball would pretty hard and might be like hitting a brick. maybe somebody has another opinion or experience. IF THE BATS ARE GOING TO BE WARM, MAYBE THE BALLS NEED TO BE KEPT WARM ALSO. QUIEN SABE ??

Is there a place to see this and maybe buy one? Sounds like I could make it in the shop but would like to see one first.

armiho211: Warm bats and cold balls. Hot balls turn to mush.

There are some solar bat warmers on ebay under 'heavy duty bat bag/solar warmer':
