Looking for 70's team in states sourrouning AR
Hi, My name is Mark De Jesus (Duke10) and I'm looking to play in my own age group (70) as I.ve been playing 65. This past year I played with the Crackerbox out of AR and we won 5 Tournaments and came in 2nd in two. I had been playing in FL prior to this year, for 13 years and averaged playing 290 games a year. I'm pretty much an infielder, other than pitcher. I'm told that I can play with any statethat touches AR. Just got back from Japan and Taiwan and we won that Championship as well.

I'll add an unsolicited endorsement:

Mark is a good ball player and a better teammate. He is too modest. One of the tournaments Crackerbox won was the SPA 65+AA National Championship.

Of course, he is from New York, which made him something of an oddity on an Arkansas team, but we didn't hold that against him.

Deedeemad, I think Tulsa is starting a new 70's team this year. It should be a very good team. I played for Plano Sports last year so we played a few games against each other.
Hope you have a great year.
And, hello TexasTransplant.

CRUSHER-- seems like all local teams have pretty much got most of the positions filled. in the 65 age group, there are a couple of spots open on the GREYHOUND 65'S, they were rated AAA in 2010. they lost a few guys that went to a 70's team. one of your team-mates off plano sports will play with the greyhounds, JOHN HEADER. if you intend to play in 2011,you may want to call the manager asap. his name is fernando lopez, cell # 972-816-4525. i called fernando and told him you might be calling him. good luck, frank a. any questions, do not hesitate to call me.

TEXAS TRANSPLANT- by any chance would you have a phone # or email address for the gentleman that started this thread. my 70's manager would like to talk to him. JIM, what are doing next year ?? i have decided to go back to the texas legends 65's as my primary team, and also play some 70 tournaments with hill contracting. ED JONES will also keep me on the roster just in case the 60 dallas spurs end up short. enjoyed playing with you in the winter nationals in las vegas. too bad we didnt do too well, but we had fun. stay in touch, frank .
