Ultra II, Mayhem 120 What's the Didderence?
Now this is not a ''which is better?'' discussion. This is are these the same bats!!
I have two U-IIs , one about 5 years old, one 2 months old. I also have a Mahem 120. They all share the same Patent Pending number.
Question: Can they share the same patent number and be different , other than color and graphics? Are these the same bats, with a different look?

Some people in my league is asking the same Patent same-as question.
One thing I do know is the UII is about 40 feet farther when you strike the ball correctly. The bats are probably made the same way with the same equipment but with different recoil. This is how the same patent # can be used.
Performance is not normally a patent.

The Mayhem is just like the Freak.

The main difference in the bats is that the Mayhem has a process called "Aramid Composite Technology". This is a material used in the "sweet spot" to make the bat stronger and longer lasting. It is a kevlar type material. I have found it takes a little longer to break in then the UItra, but the bats don't crack as quickly. Check the web site for Worth. I have used both, and after the break in the Mayhem is very comparable to a Freak Plus in performance but should have more durability.

Having the same patent number just means that the same technology is used. The thing about composite bats is that you can vary the performance depending on how & how much. This is how they wind up with 98Mph & 1.2Bpf bats. Same technology with varying amounts of whatever material makes the bat perform better.

The Mayhem were made by MIKEN for WORTH..... Since they both owned by K2 Sports from Carlsbad, CA. And from what I hear:
GREEN MAYHEM = FREAK+
ORANGE MAYHEM = FREAK 98
