June 2 birdie Men's 70 802 posts | Hey Gang, Can anybody help me out? I ordered a new Spirit ASA Bat on or about March 17. I was contacted a week or so later and asked to wait for the new bat being made in South Caroline. The estimated delivery date was 3 to 4 weeks (I believe). I have not received the bat or heard from anybody as of today about the delivery date or status or the order. Can anybody help me out. Thanks Harry |
June 2 Marv19 Men's 60 498 posts | Harry As with any completely new technology engineers have to be convinced of the concept. This technology is so new that the people at ASA have insisted on more lab testing. I understand that the conventional way of testing has to be modified. So to answer your question 3 to 4 weeks was wishful thinking for the solid core bat. Be assured however that Bill is doing everything to get this through the process so everyone will be satisfied. Once he has the go ahead you will be among the first to get your bat. Senior bats will be available for ordering July 4th. Until then I'll will update the web site when I get more information. The Veteran is in the final stages of field testing. Early results are extremely promising. Pop is great but it takes a lot of time for a guys to get 1000 or more hits on bats. Field testing is being done on several bats and combinations so bare with us. One of the most exciting things to come out of the solid core concept is the increased sweet spot.
