June 14, 2012 gott2play Men's 60 212 posts | Capt Kirk, Boulder Station and Eastside Cannery are far and away the two best on Boulder Hwy, with Eastside Cannery getting my vote (nicer rooms). However, Boulder Station comes with breakfast each day and has far more restaurant and entertainment choices. The Railhead at Boulder is one of the best venues anywhere for live concerts. Cant go wrong with either one. Tony Baltazar So Cal 55 Major Desert Dawgs 50 AAA |
June 14, 2012 DoubleL10 Men's 70 907 posts | gott2play, Don't all the "Station" hotels (Palace Station, Boulder Station, etc.) hit everyone up for the so-called "resort fee" on top of the room rate? I stayed at Palace Station a couple of years ago and got an additional $14.99/night added to the room rate. Eastside Cannery has no such "hidden" fees that you don't learn about until it's too late. That's where I stay now. |
June 15, 2012 BruceinGa Men's 70 3233 posts | We stayed at Eastside Cannery three years ago and didn't have a problem at all with it. The rates were good as were the rooms. Of course it isn't close to downtown or the strip but we were ok with that. The last time we were there we stayed at Main Street Station. It's downtown and if you have a players card their rates are very inexpensive. |
June 15, 2012 curveball Men's 65 705 posts | Capt Kirk, before moving here last year, our team stayed twice a year at Sam's Town on Boulder @ Flamingo. Rates were better than you posted and the rooms were always very nice. I think it's about as good a value as you'll find in Vegas. Fairly easy drive to east side softball complexes. Play 65's, weekday stays, rate was $25.95 for 2 doubles. Room was way nicer than the rate! |
June 15, 2012 salio2k Men's 60 547 posts | Really rare that a whole team would move to Vegas. You're so lucky. |
June 16, 2012 curveball Men's 65 705 posts | Several teams would like to move to Las Vegas, few have the income to do it. No state income tax in Nevada. Huge positive for extreme wealth, even in this economy. |
