Dec. 12, 2024 Olden Slow | Topic: Website comments Discussion: Definition Please Dbax Youre correct, your post is ridiculous. Keep in mind that us old guys need it warm because we have stiff and brittle bones.I just stated that it was not needed when I was playing and quite frankly, a heater wouldn't help many of us the Geezer Division. But I was there a few days at 8:00am to watch my only friend play and it wasn't that cold but that's just me. BTW: We've met and spoken a few times :-) Have a great evening |
Dec. 12, 2024 Olden Slow | Topic: Website comments Discussion: Definition Please John; I was in Phoenix playing and the temps were in the 70'sPropand heaters in the dugout were NOT necessary |
Dec. 12, 2024 Olden Slow | Topic: Website comments Discussion: Definition Please Her Dave: I played in Phoenix and it was in the 70's, I just find it humorous that teams were using Propane Heaters. I would have roasted in the Dugout, this just gave me my laugh for the day. THanks Tom |
Oct. 21, 2024 Olden Slow | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: Winter "Worlds" softball4b, Mike, Even those of us that live in Az still spend $300.00 plus food. Wear and tear on the body just gets more expensive every year. I live in Prescott and play PSS as do you (not the same level) its the price we pay for being Elite Athletes :0). I'm playing in Phoenix but probably won't travel to more than 3-4 Tourneys in 2025 due to cost and travel time. Tom Townsen Top Gun 75 Olde Dawgs |

March 19, 2024 Olden Slow | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Player can play defense but cannot bat. Dave: Thanks for the clarification, the player in question has a bad shoulder but can play 1B only and cannot swing a bat. Thanks |
Feb. 12, 2024 Olden Slow | Topic: Rules of the game Discussion: Player can play defense but cannot bat. This question may have been asked before, but during a discussion with some managers it came up. 12 man roster, 11 on the field but 1 player can play defense but cannot swing the bat. Is this legal and this player can only play defense ? Thanks |
Jan. 25, 2024 Olden Slow | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Knee replacement Thanks for all the info, it's appreciated |
Jan. 22, 2024 Olden Slow | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Knee replacement It seems I need a partial knee replacement, my question is: How many of you have had partial and do you recommend a full knee replacement instead ? I have one Dr that would prefer full over partial. I'm 75 and they say a partial will only last 15-20 years, I told him; I doubt that I'll last 15-20 years. Opinions please. Thanks |

Oct. 23, 2023 Olden Slow | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: What Balls are we using in Phoenix ? Not trying to stir things up but I haven't played a Tournament since 2018 and was wondering what ball is being used. I'm playing 75's and couldn't hit it over the fence in 3 hits (except the foul fences). I hear good and bad about the Baden but I really don't care, just curious. Thanks |
